It’s definitely not over. It really never was. Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp simply took a break to see if they could handle a long distance romance. John lives in Indiana and does NOT want to move to New York where Meg and her kids live. Apparently they CAN adjust to the distance between them, because John looks happy as a clam hanging out with Meg in Soho.

John, who lives in Indiana, has made an issue out of the fact that he refuses to move to New York where Meg resides. He says he’s far “too sensitive” – he doesn’t like seeing the homeless people suffering in the city, or the trash in the streets. Meg Ryan has been called “America’s Sweetheart” in the movies and apparently the Italians love her too. Meg was cheering on her boyfriend at the 22nd annual Farm Aid festival in Hersheypark , Pa. where John performed with Willie Nelson, Neil Young, etc. Mellencamp’s voice was described as sounding hoarse and damaged and we’re not surprised since we rarely see of photo of him without a cigarette in his hand.
