LISA RINNA WON’T LET THE EVIL EYE GET IN THE WAY OF HER SHOPPING

Barneys just announced their 50% off sale and apparently Lisa Rinna scooted straight from the gym to the store. Can’t help but notice she’s wearing the red Kabbalah string that Madonna popularized around ten years ago. The string is supposed to keep the wearer safe from evil eyes or “looks of envy.” There’s plenty of envy going on at Barneys, but we’d rather have a string that protected us from impulsive purchases…

DEMI MOORE CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT HER ASTROLOGER

Demi Moore is dumber than we realized- no WONDER Ashton Kutcher left her. At first glance, Demi appears to be pretty, successful, and smart. But if you get to know her better, it becomes clear that she naively depends on faith healers and astrologers to keep her life together! She frequently took Ashton to Kabbalah sessions for spiritual counseling when they were together and even dressed him up in white and dragged him to Israel (photo above) for a “spiritual journey.” For years she has depended on the advice of new age faith healer/astrologer Paddi Moore, who lives in Mexico, and frequently flies her in for counseling sessions. At one time Demi contemplated paying the astrologer to move to the US to be closer to her. THAT’S how dependent Demi is on astrology and it appears that Ashton was the SMART one for leaving that marriage.

We were surprised to learn what Madonna thinks is important enough to donate her money to. We like to give our meager dollars to animal rescue organizations, architectural conservancy, museums, and charities for women and health. Madonna, who’s worth 650 million dollars, apparently doesn’t have a lot of charity write-offs. According to Roger Friedman at Showbiz 411, her current tax filing for her Ray of Light Foundation shows what she REALLY cares about. She gave $770,000 to the questionable LA Kabbalah Center in spite of all their scandals and lawsuits. Her attempt to build a school in Malawi with Kabbalah collapsed in a heap of accusations and lawsuits. No more Africa. Beside Kabbalah, Madonna donated $15000 to the TJ Martell Foundation that does medical research, and $5000 to the Jewish Big Brothers and Sisters of Los Angeles. That’s IT- nothing for education, the arts, the environment, or animals.

“Sherlock Holmes” director Guy Ritchie took two of his sons, Rocco, 12, and David, 7, to the opening of “The Making of Harry Potter” tour at Warner Brothers Studios in the UK. Guy also has a one year old son with his girlfriend Jacqui Ainsley. He’s not longer involved in Kabbalah, but his two sons who live with his exwife Madonna are being raised in the cultish religion. (Did you know that when Madonna pulled guy into Kabbalah she successfully pressured him in to getting circumcized?)

Insiders say Ashton was never really into the Kabbalah scene – he went along with it to please his wife. (Remember, while she was with Bruce Willis, Demi was into Scientology.) Ashton faked it while they were doing marriage counseling, but now that the marriage is over, he took off his $30 red string bracelet and called it a day.

OF COURSE Rumer Willis sneaked into the SAG after–party at the Chateau Marmont. Do you think she wanted to answer questions on a red carpet? Everybody wants to know exactly what party drugs Rumer and her mother were doing that landed Demi Moore in the hospital. Besides the Adderall and Red Bull. And who else was at the house with them – was it Rumer’s friends? A little mother/daughter smoking and snorting? It’s hard to tell who was the bad influence on WHOM. Rumer is in no mood to fill in the blanks and we think Demi is now having Kabbalah therapy.

The IRS is deep in their investigation of the Kabbalah Center, which calls itself a non-profit organization and doesn’t file a tax return. The investigation started when the cult’s chief financial officer uncovered income tax fraud. Millions of dollars in donations have been made and where the money went is the big question. We didn’t realize that Sandra Bernhard was the first celebrity to get involved in Kabbalah and she pulled in many famous friends like Roseanne Barr and Madonna. Other celebrities attracted to Kabbalah include Elizabeth Taylor, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Gentiles Paris Hilton Britney Spears, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore. Celebrities accelerated Kabbalah’s financial growth. None of the celebrities remaining in the fold have commented on the IRS scandal. Madonna remains loyal even though the Malawi orphanage she planned with Kabbalah leaders never came to fruition and the money disappeared. We just hope this IRS investigation leads to the taxation of wealthy groups like Kabbalah or Scientology – or even better, ALL religions.

Madonna’s daughter Lourdes is 14 going on 21. She looked quite grown up as she took charge and hosted the one year anniversary party of the Material Girl clothing line she and her mother started at Macy’s in New York. You can’t see it in this photo, but she’s wearing a red Kabbalah string on her left wrist in spite of the cult’s financial scandals. When she’s not attending the Fame high school of performing arts and music, she’s working on the fashion collection. Lourdes has become a major fashion influence for pre-teens.

IT’S ABOUT TIME: MADONNA’S KABBALAH CENTER IS BEING INVESTIGATED BY IRS

This is turning out to be a good week for justice. First, the killing of Osama Bin Laden, and now the Kabbalah Center (which has tax-exempt status like that other cult, Scientology) is being investigated in a tax evasion probe! Among other things they’re looking for evidence to prove that money donated to Madonna’s charities went into the Berg family’s pockets (they run the Kabbalah center.) According to the Los Angeles Times, a former financial officer at the center claims he was fired for pointing out instances of income tax fraud at the center which owns 200 million dollars worth of UNTAXED property along with a 60 million dollar investment fund. The Bergs claim they get no income from the center, but are given free room and board. (A simple little house in Beverly Hills!) The Bergs were also sued by an heiress earlier this year who claims they defrauded her out of millions of dollars. Her lawyer predicted that “any IRS review will result in a revocation of their nonprofit status and criminal prosecution of the family.” Madonna’s connection remains to be seen. Maybe it’s time to take off that red string bracelet. (M’s spokesperson declined to comment.)
