Alex has long been a regular at a private game in Manhattan for high rollers, but he recently bowed OUT of the monthly games to please Kate. She thinks it’s a big waste of time and money and he wants to keep her happy.

Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes doesn’t care WHO his ex-wife Kate Hudson is dating – he’s starting a new family of his own. He and Kate have a son together, Ryder, 5, and Chris’s girlfriend of two years, Allison Bridges, is expecting a baby in January.

Kate Hudson may be appreciated by The Yankees, but baseball fans aren’t so thrilled with her. Our clever colleague CJ at the Star Tribune told us that Kate was seated in the stands at The Dome in Minnesota, cheering on A-Rod, but became very irritated when fans started noticing her. Unaccustomed to seeing beautiful actresses, locals stared and some approached her for photos or autographs. Kate frowned and avoided communicating with them. Eventually cops were assigned to stand at the end of her row and keep people away. An observer in the crowd noted that if Kate wanted to be left alone, she should have sat in a private suite – not in the middle of a raucous crowd. Meanwhile the Yankees slaughtered the Minnesota Twins.

In the beginning, Kate Hudson’s romance with Alex Rodriguez was subject to lot of criticism because both were considered to be serial daters. In 2008, Alex had a nasty divorce involving strippers and Madonna. But Alex and Kate have been together for months now and A-Rod has given up his philandering ways and as a result, seems to be playing better ball than ever! Yes, Kate is credited for Alex’s current spate of home runs. She’s always cheering in the stands. The Yankees are thrilled that Alex has settled into what appears to be an honest relationship and it’s helping his game. They hope Kate sticks around.

Not everybody is thrilled about Kate Hudson’s romance with Alex Rodriguez. (Above they are pictured leaving The Spotted Pig separately after having dinner.) Some of Kate’s friends feel uncomfortable with the fact that Alex used to date Madonna. Friends that are closer to Madonna certainly don’t want to aggravate HER, so they are unobtrusively distancing themselves from Kate. Mutual friends like Guy Oseary, Demi Moore, and Justin Timberlake, are not socializing with Kate like they used to, simply to avoid rubbing Madonna the wrong way.

It’s a thriller about a Texas sheriff played by Casey Affleck, who is slowly revealed to be not a good guy – but a sociopathic killer. Kate looks very womanly dressed up like this.

Yes, they are Crossroads high school friends – they DATED in high school. (Photo above is from their ten year H.S. reunion) An acquaintance insists that they have kept in touch and seen each other secretly over the years. For the past month he’s been quietly visiting her at her house late at night. The Snoop party was the first night they’ve gone out in public and Baron was upset to see paparazzi waiting so they drove off. He likes to keep his private life private. (Probably because he doesn’t want his girlfriends to know about each other.)

Kate Hudson’s little boy Ryder is asking for more than the freedom to walk instead of ride. He wants his own pet kangaroo! Ryder fell in love with the species when his mom was filming Fool’s Gold in Queensland, Australia last year. He’s been talking nonstop about kangaroos ever since. Kate gave Ryder a stuffed kangaroo and told him a real one wasn’t possible. He also asked his dad and grandma Goldie Hawn but they suggested he think about a puppy instead.

TOM AND KATIE GIVE SURI THE FREEDOM TO EXPLORE

We have to give Tom and Katie Cruise credit where credit is due. They don’t take the easy way out by strapping Suri into a stroller when they go out. He and Katie allow Suri to run and play and explore. We happen to think strollers are contributing to childhood obesity. (Not to mention the fact that we’re tired of tripping over them in crowded places.) Instead of allowing their toddlers to walk, parents push them around in these mini-wheelchairs while they drink and eat sugary stuff to keep them quiet. Kate Hudson’s son Ryder (top photo) is almost four and STILL being pushed around like he’s handicapped. Tom and Katie’s baby Suri is barely one and a half and she runs joyfully free, holding onto her parents hands.

KATE HUDSON: GIRLS NIGHT OUT

Kate Hudson returned last weekend from making a movie in Australia and her first stop was – of all places- The Palms lesbian bar in West Hollywood. (The ONLY women’s gay bar in the neighborhood.) She and a bunch of girlfriends were celebrating somebody’s birthday. Kate was casually dressed and she and her band of tall blonde hotties danced and whooped it up and created QUITE a stir in the women’s dive bar. A lot of surreptitious ogling went on, but we’re sorry to report there were no love connections that night.

Is Kate Hudson having a Meg Ryan experience? Kate was conspicuously absent from the London premier of You, Me, and Dupree. Since she rarely misses a chance to promote her films, her absence got everybody wondering if she was reluctant to be photographed with her costar Owen Wilson. Rumors have been circulating that Owen was the reason she split with her husband, so it’s an awkward situation. She chose to stay home and spend time with her son Ryder and estranged husband Chris Robinson. Maybe she’s starting to realize that her adorable leading man isn’t great boyfriend material – just as Meg Ryan changed her mind about romancing the leading man who broke up her marriage, Russell Crowe. It’s never too late to change one’s mind.
