John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s smiling little girl Ella, 9, feels right at home on the red carpet. She’s at the premier of the Disney comedy “Old Dogs” in which she costarred with her parents. Ella loves to act and now she hopes to get roles on her own. She’s been going out on auditions for movies that her parents are NOT appearing in.

We almost didn’t recognize his cute young guy without his famous father. It’s Connor Cruise, 14, and he’s growing up to be quite handsome. He’s already an actor – he’s appeared in “Australia” with his mother Nicole Kidman, and “Seven Pounds” with his dad’s good friend Will Smith, and he landed a role in the remake of “Red Dawn,” currently filming. It must be nice to take a break from that Scientology home schooling.

The family is very private, so we didn’t realize how fast David Bowie’s 9 year old daughter Alexandria has been growing up! It’s nice to see Lexi out in the West Village with her mom Iman (AKA Mrs David Jones.) Lexi has a beautiful model for a mother and a legendary rockstar for a dad – her possibilities seem unlimited.

We never thought about how SHORT Al Pacino is until we saw him standing next to a parking meter! His 8 year old son Anton will soon be catching up to him. Anton and his twin sister Olivia are Al’s kids with his former girlfriend Beverly D’Angelo of Entourage. Al recently finished filming “You Don’t Know Jack” - the life story of assisted suicide advocate Jack Kevorkian for HBO, and we can’t wait to see it.

Last week, “Desperate Housewives” star Teri Hatcher was rumored to have swine flu but it turned out to be simply laryngitis. She’s obviously recovered because this week she took her twelve year old daughter Emerson shopping at The Grove. It seems like only yesterday that Teri and Emerson spent a day at the Grove’s American Girl store playing with dolls. But that was two years ago and Emerson has other thing son her mind now. Like fashion.

BRAD AND ANGELINA SCARE THE NEIGHBORS

Brad and Angelina didn’t miss Halloween with their kids. The four oldest children dressed up and went trick or treating with their parents in their LA neighborhood – and they didn’t need a lot of bodyguards. Brad dressed up as the kids’ favorite TV character – DJ Lance Rock from Nick Jr’s Yo Gabba Gabba show. Angelina splattered some blood on herself and dusted white powder in her hair, Zahara was Batman, Shiloh and Maddox were in camouflage army clothes, but we don’t know about Pax. The beads in Brad’s beard are slightly unsettling.

We almost didn’t recognize Brooke Shields in her black wig as she took her daughters Rowan, 6, and Grier, 3, trick or treating on Halloween in New York. We like the fact that she gets into the spirit of the moment and has fun with her kids. Recently Brooke admitted in an interview that she didn’t lose her virginity until she was 22 – and regrets that it didn’t happen sooner!

Hugh Jackman took his family to the West Village and we were happy to see this photo of him setting a good example for his kids by dutifully spitting his gum into a trash can. Years ago, we were totally broken of the habit of gum chewing by the Chi Omegas. Hugh indulges – but he knows how to dispose of it – people who spit gum on the ground are among the worst form of litterers.

There’s a first time for everything. Longtime former bachelor Scott Baio brought his wife Renee and their baby daughter Bailey to Mr Bones Pumpkin Patch. Scott looks like fatherhood agrees with him – he took photos of the family, including Renee’s teenage daughter from a previous relationship. In his heyday, Scott dated beauties like Pamela Anderson (when she FIRST arrived in Hollywood,) Nicollette Sheridan, Denise Richards, Heather Locklear, etc, so it was difficult for him to give up his single life. But he finally did – on his reality show, of course.

Tatum O’Neal took her son Sean out for dinner at Mr Chow on September 23 – his 22nd birthday. They had a good time but when they left in separate cars we were reminded that Tatum’s ex John McEnroe has had custody of their three kids since 1998. Fortunately, it appears that Tatum and Sean are still close.

Octomom Nadya Suleman miraculously found time to bring her son Joshua to a “Pump It Up” birthday party in Chino Hills. That’s a party where they have a room full of inflatable castles and elaborate slides and air filled structures with lots of bouncing for kids. Ironically, Nadya looks like she’s been doing some “pumping up” of her own – check out the lips.

Sandra Bullock seems really happy with her life. She was seen at LAX with her husband Jesse James and her step-daughter Sunny, 5. Jesse has full custody of Sunny while his exwife, pornstar Janine Lindemulder, serves six months in jail for tax evasion. And Sandra is NOT complaining. Sandra would love for Jesse to get permanent custody of Sunny and treats her like she’s her own little girl. The three of them were very affectionate with each other at the airport.
