Despite being one of Hollywood’s great beauties, Kim has always described herself as shy and anxious and she hates to be the center of attention. It’s nice to hear that she’s been happily living with her boyfriend, studio hairdresser Mitch Stone, for the past few years. And her hair always looks good…

VERY EARLY KIM BASINGER

Kim Basinger posted this photo of herself on online, asking if anyone remembered the short-lived cop series she starred in back in 1977. She said the producer embarrassed her when he pointed out that every time she pulled out her gun, she licked her lips. The series was Dog and Cat – Kim played a young inexperienced partner to a veteran cop. Only lasted for 6 episodes.

LONG BEFORE KIM BASINGER MET PRINCE

It was a nice surprise when Ireland Baldwin posted this undated photo of her mother Kim Basinger on social media. She looks like a teenager and was already an amazing beauty. We remember seeing Kim up close and personal when she arrived at the 1990 Academy Awards – at the time she was quietly dating Prince (can you believe it?) and she wore a dress supposedly designed by him. It was an asymmetrical white satin ball gown with half a long sleeve jacket on one side and strapless on the other. The single sleeve had Prince symbols down the side. Her hair was also all pushed over to one side. A strange look for Kim, but it was a strange time in her life…

IRELAND BALDWIN: THE DOWNSIDE OF HAVING A GORGEOUS MOTHER

Sure, it’s nice to be genetically blessed by having Kim Basinger for a mother, but it can create some insecurities, according to Ireland Baldwin, 24. Ireland recently celebrated six years of NOT having eating disorders on Instagram. When she was a teen she suffered from body issues including anorexia and bulimia. Now she admits: “It wasn’t worth turning down so many sides of fries!” When she first started modeling, Ireland says she was very insecure and never felt thin enough. Food became a big problem. It took some work, but she finally got a grip on it and is able to enjoy her life now. She wants other young girls to know “You can do it too!”

FOUR HOLLYWOOD WOMEN ARE FIGHTING TO SAVE KOREAN DOGS

Four Hollywood actresses showed up at LA’s Consulate General of the Republic of Korea building to convince South Koreans to ban using dogs for food. (And we love them for that!) Kim Basinger, Priscilla Presley, Donna D’Errico, and EG Daily had plenty of depressing ammunition (posters etc) to illustrate their point. The pictures are difficult to look at – the cruelty of raising dogs for food is appalling. Apparently, NO actors showed up to draw attention to the dogs’ plight.

When someone announces they‘e writing a tell-all book about a celebrity, we always wonder if they are hoping for a pay off to keep them quiet and that the book will never be written. We hope that doesn’t happen with this family expose about the Baldwin brothers Alec, Daniel, Stephen and Billy! It sounds so juicy! Two people who worked for matriarch Carol Baldwin’s breast cancer charity in the 90’s say her mouth never stopped, and she talked endlessly about her kids. She also liberally bashed Alex’s ex Kim Basinger. According to RadarOnline the writers promise that the Baldwin family is more like “trailer trash” than an acting dynasty. IRELAND BALDWIN RECALLS HAPPY YOUTHFUL DAYS…

We love it when actors’ kids dig into their personal family photos and post them on Instagram. Otherwise, we’d never see them! Ireland Baldwin posted a picture of herself as a baby in her mother Kim Basinger’s arms and both of them are wearing turbans. Those were the happy days when Kim and Ireland’s father Alec Baldwin were still together. They had a monumentally messy divorce in 2002 when Ireland was seven.
