Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger still seem to have the most dysfunctional Hollywood divorce. Alec endeavors to cultivate a nice relationship with his daughter, Ireland, now 14, but things went awry last night. From what we put together, Alec and Ireland were arguing at midnight and Alec took an Ambien which “gave him a bad reaction.” Ireland seemed to assume Alec was taking pills in a harmful way and called 911. Alec allowed himself to be taken to the hospital to be checked out in order to avoid further problems. He returned at 2 AM to find paparazzi waiting for him. Alec assumes Kim notified the press to make him look bad. Ireland seems to be caught between her father’s volatile temperament and her mother’s supposed vindictiveness.

Kim Basinger is the perfect example of a celebrity who DOESN’T want to be noticed at the airport. She arrived at the Vancouver airport covered up in a big gray jacket, baggy jeans and a white t shirt. Clunky sandals, sunglasses and a hat completed her disguise. She’s in Vancouver to start filming “The Death and Life of Charlie St Cloud.” Kim plays Zac Efron’s mother in this drama.

Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger costar in “The Informers” but they had no scenes together and haven’t seen each other since they filmed the erotic “91/2 Weeks” together 23 years ago. At that time Kim expressed how difficult it was doing love scenes with Mickey because he smelled like an ashtray, Not long ago, Mickey got a note from Kim (after all that time) praising his performance in “The Wrestler.” He said it brought tears to his eyes. So they had a nice red carpet reunion.

Talk about “age defying.” Kim Basinger dressed DOWN (like Meg Ryan) for the rainy weather when she picked up a few Christmas gifts. But there’s no mistaking that porcelain skin and beautiful face. Staying out of the sun all her life has more than paid off for the 55 year old actress.

We can’t believe how fast Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin’s daughter Ireland is growing up. Ireland is only 13 and she appears to tower over her 5′7″ mother. (They’re both wearing heels.) This mother and daughter don’t go to a lot of Hollywood events, but they showed up for the Twilight premier. Hence, we’re wondering if Ireland has a little crush on Robert Pattinson too.
