KIM CATTRALL HAS THE UPPER HAND

You might recall that we were the first to reveal that Kim Cattrall made a surprise cameo in the season finale of And Just Like That and just as we predicted, the episode is already shattering expectations, drawing HUGE ratings. The powers that be at HBO know a good thing when they see it, so they’re now negotiating with Kim (begging her) to make a few more cameos in the upcoming season 3. They know it’s unlikely Kim will film with Sarah Jessica Parker, so they’re hoping to get her to film some scenes with Kristin Davis. Kim and Kristin seemed to get along well during the original run of Sex and the City, so Kristin’s sweet character Charlotte is the likely choice to interact with Kim. It’s not a done deal yet, but if the stars align and the actors strike ends, we COULD see more of Kim on the popular series.

KIM CATTRALL MIGHT GET THE LAST LAUGH

As you know we were the first to tell you that despite all that infighting, Kim Cattrall was set to make a guest appearance on And Just Like That. Kim’s cameo in this season’s finale is expected to bring in HUGE ratings. If these predictions are correct, my source reveals Kim will likely be BACK in season 3! Cynthia Nixon’s character Miranda has moved to LA this season and films her scenes separately from the original cast. Kim could come back for a few more appearances with the explanation that her character lives outside of New York, so she would NOT have to film with the others. My source insists that if the ratings deliver, Kim could earn millions of dollars just to appear in a few episodes next season – and she’d never have to come in contact with her costars…

SAMANTHA IS COMING BACK: WE TOLD YA SO!

Back in 2021 we told you that Kim Cattrall would make an appearance on the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That, in a special episode dedicated to beloved star Willie Garson. While it didn’t happen in the first season (since his character’s death was never addressed) it’s happening in the upcoming one! This is especially surprising because Kim has been openly feuding with Sarah Jessica Parker. People magazine just revealed that Kim filmed her guest appearance this past March and while they didn’t reveal the episode’s plot, our source says it’s a memorial tribute to Willie’s fan-favorite character, Stanford.

KIM CATTRALL: LIVING WELL IS THE BEST REVENGE

Looks like Kim Cattrall is living happily ever after since that disagreement with her Sex and the City costars that caused her to be written out of their new series And Just Like That. Kim seemed to resent Sarah Jessica Parker for some reason. Of the two actresses, Sarah has always seemed to be the most reasonable and downright nice. But Kim’s colorful character was much loved on the show. Nowadays she’s living in both New York and London with her boyfriend of 6 years, Russell Thomas. He’s 14 years younger than Kim (good for her!) and they met when he was working at the BBC- not sure what he does for a living now. Above, Kim was a guest at the Glamour Magazine Women of the Year Awards where she received the Screen Icon award.

WILL KIM CATTRALL SHOW HER LOVE FOR WILLIE GARSON?

If you were saddened about the sudden death of Sex & the City actor Willie Garson (he played Carrie’s gay BF Sanford) you can imagine how the rest of the cast and crew feel. We hear that And Just Like That writers plan to honor Willie by writing an episode all about Sanford’s “death” – and here’s the BIG news: they want Kim Cattrall to guest on this special episode dedicated to Willie and his character. And she has NOT said no! How could she? Like her costars, Kim WAS fond of Willie and this would be a great way for her to mend fences with the SATC people and finish off her connection to the show in a nice way. We shall see…

And Just Like That Fashion Kim Cattrall Patricia Fields Sex & The City

CAN CARRIE BRADSHAW SAVE “AND JUST LIKE THAT?”

SOMEBODY (Kim Cattrall) looks really happy that her friend Patricia Fields (with the hat on) is NOT doing wardrobe for the new SATC revival And Just Like That. Fields was responsible for the eye-popping fashion innovations that made the series so delicious to watch. Kim disappointed everyone when she turned down the movie, and Patricia did too – but she had a good excuse. Fields says she’s too busy working as costume designer for Emily in Paris. From what we’ve seen so far, the wardrobe for And Just Like That is NOT thrilling, but we’ll give it more time. (We’re just happy to see the SATC women again) The question is: Can the revival succeed without Kim and Patricia? We hope so…

Feud! Kim Cattrall Sarah Jessica Parker Sex & The City

THE SARAH JESSICA PARKER/KIM CATTRALL FEUD IS ALL ABOUT MONEY

Okay, let’s clarify this whole Sarah Jessica Parker –Kim Cattrall feud- it’s about MONEY. Jason Lewis played Samantha’s boyfriend on the series and he admitted HE’s siding with SJP. He raves about how he adored and appreciated Sarah’s kindness on the show but held back at saying ANYTHING nice about Kim Cattrall. WE have never met anyone who didn’t love Sarah and our personal experience with her has always been delightful. Here’s what destroyed Sarah and Kim’s friendship: Sarah was the star of the series and producer and undoubtedly paid more, but Kim’s character really caught on – especially with gay men who identified with her playful promiscuity and sexual openness. Kim KNEW her character was popular – she had tons of fans – and expected more money. Apparently she was never paid what she thought she was worth and resentment grew. When Kim turned down the third Sex & the City movie despite the good script, she knew she was denying her costars and crew money and jobs they might need. Not nice. We wish they’d recast Samantha.

WILL THE REAL KIM CATTRALL PLEASE STAND UP

Kim Cattrall’s bold character Samantha on Sex & the City was probably the most popular of the four leading women – especially among gays. Maybe that’s why she was resentful toward Sarah Jessica Parker because her Carrie was officially the STAR of the popular show. Personally, we would love to have followed these women into their 50’s and 60’s in a third movie. Everyone loved the script- so why did Kim lead everyone on and then back out at the last minute? Why wouldn’t she go through with the movie to please her costars and pocket the money? How many offers does she GET? Kim called HER COSTARS “toxic.” In reality, Kim was always the toxic one – Sarah happens to be a genuinely decent and kind person. Kim’s decision means a lot of people won’t be working and fans will be disappointed. Actually, we’d be happy to see the movie made without Kim.

She’s playing the lead in Tennessee Williams’ “Sweet Bird of Youth “ about an aging, drug addled actress and her young gigolo. The younger man is played by Seth Numrich, 26. Her SATC character Samantha Jones enjoyed romances with younger men and didn’t have to pay them! Kim has always loved Broadway and looks to be aiming for a career onstage.

Kim Cattrall got lucky when she was hired to appear at the opening of Harrod’s summer sale. Not only is she handsomely paid, but she gets to shop in the store before the doors are open. One drawback was that she had to put up with Mohamed Fayed whining and complaining that he and his late son Dodi were in no way responsible for Princess Diana’s untimely death – that it was a conspiracy. (Sure, and the conspirators were liquor, drugs, and the macho limo driver.)
