Kiss singer Gene Simmons created a firestorm in the hip hop community when he commented to Rolling Stone “I’m looking forward to the death of rap!” And Gene thinks rappers have no place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. “They sample and talk – they don’t even SING!” He says he likes SOME rap but “I don’t have the cultural background to appreciate being a gangster.” The Family Jewels reality star took his wife of five years, Shannon Tweed, to the Grove for some shopping and dining.

Paul Stanley from Kiss looks totally different when he’s onstage with all that makeup and black spandex, so he can go out without attracting much attention. He took his young son with the mohawk haircut with him to Starbucks in Beverly Hills to get a coffee. He looks like a doting dad and two people on the sidewalk behind him are wondering why he’s being snapped by paparazzi.

These two Hollywood bad boys turned up at the Experience, Strength and Hope Awards – it’s a charity that offers support for writers and performers with substance abuse problems. Andy Dick is notorious for grabbing unsuspecting strange men in public and kissing them – which often caused a fight and sometimes landed him in jail. This time Daniel Baldwin beat Andy to the punch and planted a smooch on HIM by force. It does make one wonder about their sobriety….

KISS guitarist Paul Stanley insists that he does NOT wear wigs, but then why would he wear this goofy scarf on his head? The male head wrap scarf is a dead giveaway of rock star hair loss. Just ask Bret Michaels. It’s rumored that Paul has top quality hair augmentation similar to John Travolta’s. Certainly onstage all that big hair isn’t natural and fans don’t care. KISS lead singer Paul Stanley‘s new book “Face the Music: A Life Exposed” features some surprising revelations. Who knew Paul was born with a disability? He only had one ear. His right ear never formed properly and he only had a stump – plus he was deaf on the right side. He later had surgery to build a new ear but he was severely bullied during his childhood.

It’s the end of an era for Gene Simmons. He and Paul Stanley officially retired from the band KISS that they started 40 years ago. A band called KISS II will continue to tour and record with none of the original band members. Gene and Paul will share in their profits, naturally. Let’s examine that kiss that Keanu Reeves laid on Charlize Theron last night as they were leaving Bouchon restaurant in Beverly Hills. (They got into separate cars.) Is it a romance? Both are single now, so it could go either way, but they HAVE been friends since they filmed “Sweet November” together in 2001. “The Devil’s Advocate” followed that. The fact that they arrived separately and actually kissed in a place where they could be SEEN, indicates a mere friendship. But the fact that Charlize slid her hands UNDER Keanu’s coat when the smack took place, indicates that they are VERY friendly. It could go either way.
