LANE GARRISON: “IT WAS ALL MY FAULT”
Filed Under: "One Heart" > Lane Garrison > Michael Evers
We were the first to reveal that Lane Garrison is producing a movie called “One Heart” featuring Michael Evers (above.) Lane talked to In Touch magazine about the movie and the time he spent in jail. He detailed some of the prison conditions he endured, but he DOESN’T want anyone to think he’s complaining. Lane admits HE caused his incarceration to happen because he chose to drink and drive. He went on to say “If talking about what happened to me will prevent one person from drinking and driving, then this whole tragedy won’t have been in vain.” Friends say Lane is genuinely remorseful and learned his lesson.

LANE GARRISON’S JUVENILE PRISON MOVIE “ONE HEART” IS IN THE WORKS

We told you in December that Lane Garrison is becoming a producer and now he’s started work on his first project “One Heart.” It’s about a maximum security juvenile facility (age 13 to 20) in Texas that allowed boys who behaved to form a football team, practice on Friday nights, and challenge local high schools. The team of inmates always had empty bleachers on their side at the schools (no one to cheer them on) and they never won their games. Eventually a kindhearted coach from Faith High School “adopted” the team and provided cheerleaders and students to fill the stands and cheer for them. The inmates started winning and the inspired players went on to lead productive lives. Lane is starring as the coach and he’s already cast Michael Evers as an inmate/football player.

Former “Prison Break” actor Lane Garrison really got lucky when the Sandra Bullock movie “The Blind Side “ became a hit. Lane hopes to become a producer and his first project is “One Heart” - the true story of a football team made up of Texas kids convicted of crimes. It’s an inspiring story and a subject Lane knows a lot about – he’s played football AND he just got out of jail in April after being convicted of DUI manslaughter, The success of “The Blind Side” made Lane’s idea an easier sell and he’s made a deal and he’s almost finished writing the script.

WILL LANE GARRISON WORK IN HOLLYWOOD AGAIN?
Filed Under: Crimes and Misdemeanors > DUI > Hollywood > Lane Garrison

Lane Garrison is still trying to do all the right things. First of all, he admitted his guilt. While he was in prison for the drunk driving accident that killed a teenage boy and injured two teen girls, he studied and was a model prisoner. We hear that recently he arranged to have separate private meetings with the families of his victims and he apologized profusely and begged for forgiveness. Lane will be on probation for four more years and we can’t help thinking he’s more sincere than Michael Vick. But will Hollywood give the “Prison Break” actor another chance?

LANE GARRISON: CAN HOLLYWOOD FORGIVE AND FORGET?
Filed Under: Crimes and Misdemeaners > DUI > Lane Garrison > Rehab

Lane Garrison, looking paler and thinner, is out of prison and on his way to rehab where he will be locked up for another six months. In 2007 Lane was sentenced to 3 years and four months in prison for a drunk driving accident that left one boy dead and two teen girls injured. While he was incarcerated, Lane took college courses, studying Spanish and business, and he was a model of good behavior. After rehab, he’ll be on probation for four years. Will Lane, who ironically appeared on “Prison Break,” still have a career in Hollywood?

JESSICA SIMPSON HASN'T FORGOTTEN HER FRIEND LANE GARRISON
Filed Under: Crimes and Misdemeaners > Jessica Simpson > Lane Garrison
Lane Garrison celebrated his 28th birthday behind bars and his good friend Jessica Simpson send him a gift to mark the occasion. Jessica can’t visit Lane, who’s currently serving his sentence for DUI at a facility in Corcoran, California, because she would create a security risk. But she didn’t forget him – Jessica WANTED to send him an iPod, but it wasn’t allowed, so she sent him a practical gift: a hundred postage stamps. Lane often calls Jessica collect from prison and he likes to fill the empty hours by writing letters.

LANE GARRISON IS FEEDING HIS FELLOW PRISONERS
Filed Under: Jail > Lane Garrison
Prison Break’s Lane Garrison just got sort of a break in prison. He acquired a job. Due to his exemplary behavior, Lane has been promoted to food helper. He spends his days preparing meals and he also helps the guards hand out breakfast, lunch, and dinner to the inmates. For this he gets paid 9 cents an hour – and it goes straight to his savings account. Not much for a TV star, but he’s happy.

LANE GARRISON UPDATE AND MAILING ADDRESS!
Filed Under: Lane Garrison > Prison Break
“Prison Break” star Lane Garrison is in the fourth month of his prison sentence with 36 months to go, and he’s trying to pass some of the time by doing pencil sketches. He’s genuinely sorry about his fatal DUI accident and is resigned to taking his punishment. Right now he’s incarcerated “auditorium style” – that means forty guys sleeping on cots in a big room. He’s on his best behavior and gets along with other inmates. A friend of his told us that Lane would love to receive some encouraging mail. So we’re giving you his address so YOU can drop him a line!

JESSICA SIMPSON: REASON TO CRY
Filed Under: Crimes and Misdemeaners > Jessica Simpson > Lane Garrison
NOW we know why Jessica Simpson was in TEARS at the Kennedy Center Honors. She had just found out about Lane Garrison’s tragic auto accident. (One teenage male passenger was killed and two girls were injured.) Lane was like a brother to her – they grew up in the same town and when he had problems at home, he went to live with Jessica’s dad Joe Simpson when he was a teenager. Simpson helped make Lane a star like he did his daughters. And Lane loved being famous. When he went to Ralph’s Saturday night to buy pita chips, two teen girls saw him and got VERY excited. They begged him to come to their high school party to impress their friends. Lane couldn’t resist the flattery. Just how much he had to drink before and during the party will be apparent when his blood test results come back. When Lane wanted to leave, the girls begged the boy who was killed to come along because they were a little afraid of Lane. The joy ride ended abruptly when his SUV crashed into a tree. Acquaintances of Lane are predicting that the blood test will show more than alcohol was in his system. Right now Lane’s in hiding and Jessica is still distraught.
