Recently we ran a photo of Las Vegas model turned reality star Michael Evers and we got numerous requests from readers for more photos of him and information about the show. A photographer caught Michael yesterday in Beverly Hills getting out of his Hummer. Here’s what we know about the reality show: “The Strip” starts filming at the end of next month. Michael was chosen with seven other hot young people for the pilot episode, but he’s spending half his time in Los Angeles so he’ll fly back and forth. It’s called a reality show, but it’s scripted with made-up storylines just like “The Hills.” Michael is supposedly dating another reality star and when we find out who it is, we’ll let you know.

JERMAINE JACKSON: “I AM THE NEXT MICHAEL JACKSON”

The Jackson family looked perfectly civil at Michael’s funeral but we hear that behind closed doors they’re furiously battling over money. Everybody wants to cash in and the brothers are at each other’s throats- with Jermaine’s ego turning into a huge problem. Shortly after Michael died, Steve Wynn offered the late Danny Gans’ empty Las Vegas showroom to the remaining Jackson brothers and wanted them to prepare a long running show. They could have taken in 80 million dollars just the first year if was a success. The brothers were psyched to do it but Jermaine decided HE should be paid WAY more than the others. Bickering ensued and Jermaine told shocked producers “ I am the next Michael Jackson and I will be paid accordingly!” Producers just laughed and gave up the whole idea. Timing IS important and last we heard the Jackson brothers were pitching their act to the small time lounges in Las Vegas.

WATCH FOR MICHAEL EVERS DOING WHATEVER’S NECESSARY TO SURVIVE ON “THE STRIP”

Las Vegas based model Michael Evers is already a mini-celebrity in Sin City – he’s appeared on billboards promoting Planet Hollywood’s Krave nightclub where he’s a featured performer. Now he’s been cast in a reality show that’s being described as “The Hills” meets Las Vegas. It’s Called “The Strip” and will follow a group of eight hot looking 18 to 25 year olds (including a Hard Rock cocktail waitress and a valet from the Bellagio) as they struggle and seek success in the gambling mecca. Making it in Las Vegas is not as easy as it used to be.

PARIS JACKSON’S HAIRCUT TURNS OUT TO BE A BIG DEAL

Who knew that strands of Paris Jackson’s hair might be valuable? Not only was Paris treated to a Las Vegas shopping spree with her grandmother Katherine Jackson and her tutor Sister Rose (above), but she also visited a beauty salon. Paris had her hair trimmed at the salon in the Palms Hotel and after the cut, every snippet of hair was carefully swept up and placed in a plastic baggie and given to her bodyguard. Las Vegas TV reporter Alicia Jacobs happened to be in the next chair and she watched the events unfold. Alicia surmised that someone just MIGHT take the hair and have it tested for DNA or try to sell it on eBay. For some reason, the Jacksons don’t seem to want to know the parentage of Michael’s mysterious brood. Paris looks tan and healthy – she’s finally getting to play OUTSIDE. Michael avoided the sun.

NOT JUST THE SAME OLD CHER

Cher may have cancelled a few of her Las Vegas shows over the past year but she’s psyched herself up so she can return to performing at Caesar’s Palace in September with a splashy new look. She told Bob Mackie she wants a whole new set of stage costumes. She’s tired of everything and wants to update her look. Money is no object. Mackie’s staffers are hard at work creating a new Cher and her fans might be advised to catch her show again. Above, Cher was photographed awhile back shopping at Barneys wearing her sunglasses UNDER her nose.

PAULA ABDUL CAN DO NO WRONG

Paula Abdul SHOULD look happy – money just keeps piling up in her bank account. TWO Las Vegas casinos are in a bidding war to obtain a talent and variety show she’s pitching. Paula plans to produce a music and dance extravaganza similar to the Cirque du Soliel, but SHE will only appear occasionally onstage. According to the Enquirer, she’s been talking to The Venetian hotel and Steve Wynn’s Encore and both are offering tens of millions of dollars for her services. The rich get richer.

The atmosphere at Prive nightclub in Las Vegas must have heated up when Lindsay Lohan and Melanie Brown got together. Melanie is currently performing in the “Peep Show” burlesque show, also located at Planet Hollywood. Mel reportedly snapped a photo of Lindsay and startled her and apologized by planting a big kiss on her. Lindsay didn’t complain. The two hit the dance floor were they gyrated in a frenzy until they collapsed in a sweaty heap. Hmmm.

We can’t decide which is worse- the front view of Joaquin Phoenix or the back view. When he took off his knit cap it became evident that his matted and unwashed hair is forming dreadlocks. Maybe he quit acting to become a musician because he figured rockstars don’t have to bathe. Anyway, we’re sure his female fans were jolted to see him looking like this when he performed at LAVO at The Palazzo in Las Vegas. Rumor has it he’s planning to record with the British band The Charlatans.

Melanie Brown took her family to The Grove for some holiday shopping and eating. It looks like everyone will be moving to Las Vegas when she starts performing at the Hard Rock Hotel in the topless burlesque show called “Peepshow,” which opens in March. Whether SHE will be stripping remains to be seen. But a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. She has a lot of mouths to feed.

How many people out there think that Criss Angel might be USING Holly Madison to drum up publicity for his new Las Vegas show? She appeared for the opening night festivities of Angel’s lavish “Believe” extravaganza at the Luxor – which has been getting mixed reviews during sneak peeks. Angel promises that all the glitches that appeared during previews have been ironed out. Meanwhile he was all over Holly for the cameras.

THAT’S exactly what David Archuleta,17, said the last time his was in Las Vegas with the American Idol performers. He was at an after party at Skybar when he made that statement to a reporter. The startled reporter asked WHY he felt that way and David pointed out that the club smelled awful because so many people were SMOKING. He’s not used to being in places where smoking is allowed and it bothers his throat. He likes the nightlife there, just NOT the smoke.

DENZEL WASHINGTON AND MEL GIBSON PARTY IN LAS VEGAS – BUT NOT TOGETHER

Denzel Washington and Mel Gibson were both in Las Vegas last week doing a little “male bonding” with their sons. Denzel brought his wife and kids to watch his son Malcolm play in a big high school basketball tournament, and the family took in several shows. Party loving Denzel also made a point to visit Blush and turned up at Tryst nightclub at 2 AM. Mel Gibson celebrated his son Louis’s 21st birthday at the Wynn hotel – Mel and his boys were seen gambling at the roulette table at 3 AM. They were boisterous and having a lot of fun. (Mel was drinking coffee.)The guys partied, visited the gym and the spa, ate in the best restaurants, and generally had a good time hanging out together. Everybody behaved.

Norm Clarke in Las Vegas says Michael Jackson is close to buying a house there and we can’t figure out HOW this could happen when Michael has such bad credit! Didn’t his other two houses barely escape bank repossession? Michael has been renting a home in a fancy Las Vegas suburb and his neighbor tattled that there was a Christmas tree in his window for MONTHS after the holidays were over. Michael’s dream of having a spectacular show built around him like Celine Dion are shattered because no one wants to invest millions to create a big show around Michael when he may not be healthy or dependable enough to do it. So who’s going to buy this house for him?

Remember that excited guy in Las Vegas who announced that he had stumbled upon what he thought was a very rare nude photograph of Marilyn Monroe? His name is Lawrence Nicastro, he’s 73, and he invited reporters to take a look at the poster size picture. He figured it was taken when Monroe filmed The Misfits in Las Vegas in 1960 and he found it in a box stored in someone’s garage. He was SO embarrassed when a newsman pointed out that it was actually Madonna! It was the nude hitchhiking picture that Steven Meisel snapped for her Sex book in 1992. Madonna must be flattered, but she might not be thrilled to see this photo plastered all over the internet again because of her kids. Which is worse, mother hitchhiking nude or smoking a cigarette?

CHER GAVE US A BIG HEALTH SCARE BUT SHE'S OKAY

We have to admit we are very relieved to hear that Cher plans to fulfill her obligation to Caesars Palace and share the stage with Bette Midler starting in May. First we heard that Cher was having special treatments for “tummy troubles.” Then we heard the unsettling news that a source had bumped into Cher in the waiting room at the UCLA Medical Center in the outpatient treatment center for cancer patients having chemotherapy. Supposedly, Cher was seen there twice with a bodyguard by her side. Since she’s gearing up to perform in May, we figure Cher was there not for treatment herself, but waiting for someone- maybe even Farrah Fawcett. And the show WILL go on in Las Vegas!

CAMERON DIAZ DODGED TWO BULLETS IN LAS VEGAS

Cameron Diaz pulled off a skillful juggling act in Las Vegas this weekend. With no boyfriends in sight, Cameron and Drew Barrymore partied at the Light club at Bellagio and had fun without ever bumping into two of Cameron’s recent boyfriends who were ALSO in Vegas. Justin Timberlake was at Jet nightclub and Criss Angel was (with Britney Spears) at LAX at the Luxor . Cameron REALLY didn’t feel like seeing either of them, so she pulled the right strings and navigated the weekend smoothly – there were no awkward encounters.
