Recently we ran a photo of Las Vegas model turned reality star Michael Evers and we got numerous requests from readers for more photos of him and information about the show. A photographer caught Michael yesterday in Beverly Hills getting out of his Hummer. Here’s what we know about the reality show: “The Strip” starts filming at the end of next month. Michael was chosen with seven other hot young people for the pilot episode, but he’s spending half his time in Los Angeles so he’ll fly back and forth. It’s called a reality show, but it’s scripted with made-up storylines just like “The Hills.” Michael is supposedly dating another reality star and when we find out who it is, we’ll let you know.

The Jackson family looked perfectly civil at Michael’s funeral but we hear that behind closed doors they’re furiously battling over money. Everybody wants to cash in and the brothers are at each other’s throats- with Jermaine’s ego turning into a huge problem. Shortly after Michael died, Steve Wynn offered the late Danny Gans’ empty Las Vegas showroom to the remaining Jackson brothers and wanted them to prepare a long running show. They could have taken in 80 million dollars just the first year if was a success. The brothers were psyched to do it but Jermaine decided HE should be paid WAY more than the others. Bickering ensued and Jermaine told shocked producers “ I am the next Michael Jackson and I will be paid accordingly!” Producers just laughed and gave up the whole idea. Timing IS important and last we heard the Jackson brothers were pitching their act to the small time lounges in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas based model Michael Evers is already a mini-celebrity in Sin City – he’s appeared on billboards promoting Planet Hollywood’s Krave nightclub where he’s a featured performer. Now he’s been cast in a reality show that’s being described as “The Hills” meets Las Vegas. It’s Called “The Strip” and will follow a group of eight hot looking 18 to 25 year olds (including a Hard Rock cocktail waitress and a valet from the Bellagio) as they struggle and seek success in the gambling mecca. Making it in Las Vegas is not as easy as it used to be.

Who knew that strands of Paris Jackson’s hair might be valuable? Not only was Paris treated to a Las Vegas shopping spree with her grandmother Katherine Jackson and her tutor Sister Rose (above), but she also visited a beauty salon. Paris had her hair trimmed at the salon in the Palms Hotel and after the cut, every snippet of hair was carefully swept up and placed in a plastic baggie and given to her bodyguard. Las Vegas TV reporter Alicia Jacobs happened to be in the next chair and she watched the events unfold. Alicia surmised that someone just MIGHT take the hair and have it tested for DNA or try to sell it on eBay. For some reason, the Jacksons don’t seem to want to know the parentage of Michael’s mysterious brood. Paris looks tan and healthy – she’s finally getting to play OUTSIDE. Michael avoided the sun.

Cher may have cancelled a few of her Las Vegas shows over the past year but she’s psyched herself up so she can return to performing at Caesar’s Palace in September with a splashy new look. She told Bob Mackie she wants a whole new set of stage costumes. She’s tired of everything and wants to update her look. Money is no object. Mackie’s staffers are hard at work creating a new Cher and her fans might be advised to catch her show again. Above, Cher was photographed awhile back shopping at Barneys wearing her sunglasses UNDER her nose.

Paula Abdul SHOULD look happy – money just keeps piling up in her bank account. TWO Las Vegas casinos are in a bidding war to obtain a talent and variety show she’s pitching. Paula plans to produce a music and dance extravaganza similar to the Cirque du Soliel, but SHE will only appear occasionally onstage. According to the Enquirer, she’s been talking to The Venetian hotel and Steve Wynn’s Encore and both are offering tens of millions of dollars for her services. The rich get richer.

The atmosphere at Prive nightclub in Las Vegas must have heated up when Lindsay Lohan and Melanie Brown got together. Melanie is currently performing in the “Peep Show” burlesque show, also located at Planet Hollywood. Mel reportedly snapped a photo of Lindsay and startled her and apologized by planting a big kiss on her. Lindsay didn’t complain. The two hit the dance floor were they gyrated in a frenzy until they collapsed in a sweaty heap. Hmmm.

Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown is showing off a lot of her assets in “Peep Show”,” a burlesque review currently running at the Planet Hollywood Hotel in Las Vegas. Presumably, while Mel is hard at work, her husband Stephen “Belafonte” will be watching Mel’s kids – or at the very least, watching the nanny who’s watching the kids.

We can’t decide which is worse- the front view of Joaquin Phoenix or the back view. When he took off his knit cap it became evident that his matted and unwashed hair is forming dreadlocks. Maybe he quit acting to become a musician because he figured rockstars don’t have to bathe. Anyway, we’re sure his female fans were jolted to see him looking like this when he performed at LAVO at The Palazzo in Las Vegas. Rumor has it he’s planning to record with the British band The Charlatans.
