FRED GOLDMAN IS PICKING ON OJ SIMPSON AGAIN

Fred Goldman is a real hero in our eyes because he never gives up. OJ Simpson wouldn’t be sitting in prison right now if it weren’t for Fred Goldman, the father of Ron Goldman, who was murdered by OJ along with Nicole Simpson. After winning a civil suit against OJ and 33 million dollars in restitution, Fred relentlessly pursued OJ for the money and OJ was in the act of concealing his income when he was arrested for armed robbery. Anyway, Fred has NOT stopped the much-deserved harassment – now he’s filed suit against OJ’s lawyer – he wants the suit OJ was wearing (above) when he was acquitted of murder. Let’s hope he wins the suit, auctions it off for a lot of money, and keeps up the fight!

BRAD AND ANGELINA ARE GETTING EVEN, NOT SPLITTING UP!

Now that Brad and Angelina are suing the UK’s News of the World for falsely claiming they were seeing lawyers to negotiate a split, we think everyone should take a harsh look at all the magazines who jumped on the fake story and further exaggerated it. Some mags had Brad begging Jennifer to take him back, some had Jennifer turning Brad down, and others claimed Jen and Brad have been together secretly for awhile! Brad and Jen have NOT been in touch since their divorce. Period. Jen is currently in Mexico with friends including Gerard Butler. It’s time to call publications (and bloggers) to task for lazily or deliberately publishing false stories. Keep in mind, the REAL story is always harder to get. DON JOHNSON KEEPS HIS ASSETS UNDER WRAPS

We’re betting Don Johnson can walk around pretty much unrecognized with this gray beard and hat. His best assets are covered up. Don might be coming into a lot of money this spring when he takes the production company of his series “Nash Bridges” to court. He claims they owe him 150 million dollars. Meanwhile, he’s making movies – among them, “Born to be a Star “ in which he plays a pornographer.

WRIGLEY’S DOUBLEMINT GUM IS ABOUT TO DOUBLE CHRIS BROWN’S MISERY

Chris Brown hasn’t heard the last of Wrigley Doublemint Gum. He had a very lucrative contract with Wrigley and his ad campaign was not only successful, it produced his hit song “Forever.” Chris had apparently signed up for another five year stint with Wrigley and finished a number of commercials when the Rihanna incident happened. Wrigley pulled his ads and fired Chris. Now they are said to be preparing to sue Chris for all the money they lost due to his bad behavior. They spent big bucks on ads featuring Chris along with other celebrities like JayZ and Mariah Carey. Since Chris was in them also – everything had to be ditched. Wrigley is mad and we hear they hope to recoup the money Chris caused them to lose with a big fat lawsuit.

Josh Hartnett is not like most guys. For one thing, he’s walking down the street in New York and he ISN’T talking on his cell phone. He’s enjoying his surroundings. Another thing that makes him different was his lawsuit against UK’s Daily Mirror. The paper wrote that he had a “steamy sexual encounter” with an unknown woman in a public area of a London hotel and it was taped. Most macho guys would have been secretly proud of such an accomplishment and wouldn’t have bothered to deny it. But Josh got mad and sued – winning a $30,000 settlement

Victoria Principal took a walk on the beach in Malibu over the weekend with an amused looking male friend. She tried to look normal after that embarrassing incident involving cops where her maid accused Victoria of pulling a gun on her. The two now have dueling lawsuits, but Victoria is no stranger to 911 drama. She and her exhusband, plastic surgeon Harry Glassman, used to have some lively altercations requiring 911 visits.

PROCOL HARUM: WHO WROTE THE SONG?

In 1967, “A Whiter Shade of Pale” was a gigantic hit for the British band Procol Harum and it became the anthem for the “summer of love.” They sold ten million records and it became one of the most popular songs of all time, with 800 cover versions made. The band fizzled out and was split up by 1977. The music licensing company PPL says “Pale” is the “most played song in public places over the last 75 years.” It brings in a lot of money and forty years after the fact, the in court bandmates are fighting over who wrote it. We don’t envy the judge who has to untangle this mess.

MORGAN FREEMAN ISN'T AFRAID OF GLORIA ALLRED

Gloria Allred has her hands full with this case against Morgan Freeman. Her client Demaris Meyer was the injured passenger in the car that Morgan crashed last year. Meyer wants the world to know that she was NOT Morgan’s mistress, simply an acqaintance. She says she witnessed him consume numerous alcoholic beverages during the evening before their accident. She is suing him for her medical expenses, permanent disability etc. We have TWO questions: If she was not his mistress, why did she accept his invitation to sleep at his house?
And, more important, after watching him drink excessively, why did she hand him HER keys and let him drive her car?

JERRY SEINFELD INTENDS TO CLEAR HIS WIFE'S GOOD NAME – NO MATTER WHAT IT COSTS

Jerry Seinfeld is pulling out the big guns to make sure his wife Jessica wins her plagiarism lawsuit. Jessica was sued by Missy Chase Lapine, who wrote “The Sneaky Chef,” six months before HER book “Deceptively Delicious” was released. Missy claims Jessica stole her ideas and recipes, and Jerry dubbed Missy a “wacko” and “nutjob.” Both books are all about hiding pureed vegetables in food for kids. Similarities abound. Oprah made Jessica’s book a huge success while Missy’s book lagged far behind. Jerry wants to clear his wife of charges that she “brazenly plagiarized” and he’s hired the biggest lawyers and top food technicians in New York to gather extensive research. We’re thinking Missy doesn’t stand much of a chance.

ED MCMAHON'S PAIN IN THE NECK IS GOING TO COST SOMEBODY PLENTY

“Cash strapped” Ed McMahon may have figured a way to get someone else to pay his bills. The litigious TV personality is now suing Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and billionaire Robert Day for unspecified damages. Remember the neck brace Ed snaps on nowadays before appearing on camera? Ed’s lawyer says he slipped on Day’s stairs and received inferior treatment at Cedars in March of 2007. (Please note the above photo was taken July 24, 2007, at The Simpson’s Movie premier in LA – four months AFTER the “accident.”) Day’s insurance apparently couldn’t come up with enough money to please McMahon. Lawsuits are one of Ed’s favorite pastimes – remember he collected 7.2 million five years ago after claiming he had toxic mold in his home, which, oddly enough, he continues to live in.

JON BON JOVI: SPLITTING HAIRS

Jon Bon Jovi saw a can of an energy drink called Mijovi at a New Jersey cafe and immediately called his lawyers – he decided it was trademark infringement because it was suspiciously similar to HIS name. The manufacturer of the Mijovi, a man named Marcos Carrington, insists the drink was inspired by his girlfriend Jovita , and was floored by the legal threat. Marcos the owner happened to run into Jon at a Red Bank restaurant and introduced himself, hoping he could clear up the matter, but Jon wouldn’t budge. The legal battle continues with most New Jersey locals on the beverage maker’s side.
