MICK JAGGER CAN ALWAYS GET WHAT HE WANTS

Even a rainstorm couldn’t stop the biggest celebration in London this weekend: Mick Jagger’s 80th birthday party. It started early at Mick’s home in London and continued at a Chelsea nightclub until 3 AM. Mick was with his current companion Melanie Hamrick (they have a 7 year old son!) Nice to see that Mick’s ex Jerry Hall was there along with several of his adult kids, numerous UK socialites, and plenty of celebrities. Ronnie Wood  was there, but no Keith. Poor Leonardo DiCaprio! He looks disappointed that he can no longer wear a covid mask to disguise his famous self, so he has to pull his baseball cap down to avoid attention. Mick looks like he’s in good shape – and no beard!

WHO ELSE WOULD WALK AROUND LIKE THIS?

It’s not hard to guess who this masked celebrity is walking into a party at Art Basel Soho Beach house in Miami. Leonardo DiCaprio is the only actor we know who disguises himself wherever he goes. He is also one of the few people who loves wearing a mask. Does he resent the fact that paparazzi make money selling HIS photos? Perhaps, but for some reason he cannot accept the fact that having photos taken goes with his job as an actor. Other celebrities like Mark Wahlberg and Ben Affleck are equally inconvenienced, but have made peace with the photographers and don’t mistreat them. Notice Tobey MaGuire walking behind Leo, looking like a normal person…

LEONARDO DICAPRIO WARNS: DON’T LOOK UP!

Don’t Look Up could be the caption of this photo of Leonardo DiCaprio, with his eyes glued to his phone, but it also happens to be the title of the movie he’s filming in Boston. Leo is dressed as a scholarly type because he and Jennifer Lawrence play unknown astronomers who detect an asteroid approaching that will destroy earth, but nobody believes them. They try to warn the President but he doesn’t understand the urgency, so they go on a media tour to try and warn mankind that everyone is about to die. The cast of this political satire is amazing- Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Timothee Chalamet, Ariana Grande, etc.

TOBEY MAGUIRE LOVES BEING SINGLE AGAIN

What pandemic? Have you ever seen Tobey Maguire, 44, looking happier? He’s with his model girlfriend Tatiana Dieteman, 27, and looks like he doesn’t have a care in the world. The pair met two years ago at a model party held by Tobey’s close friend Leonardo DiCaprio. Tobey and jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, the mother of his two children, divorced in 2017, and it has been a smooth split. Tobey’s kids get along well with Tatiana, and Jennifer has found a new boyfriend of her own. And Tobey’s livin’ large…

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JASON MOMOA AND LEO DICAPRIO

We’re not talking about looks here – we’re talking about behavior. Above, Jason Momoa was surprised by paparazzi as he walked into his New York hotel. He was in a hurry, but acknowledged them with a sly grin. Leonardo DiCaprio, on the other hand, HATES the idea of paparazzi making money with photos of him! He scowls and tries to make his pics less desirable by covering himself with hats, hoods, sunglasses, scarves, jackets on his head, even pushy bodyguards. Jason often jokes with the paparazzi and doesn’t seem to mind them at all. They’re just part of the business…

QUENTIN TARANTINO’S INSPIRATION: BURT REYNOLDS!

Here’s something we didn’t know about Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood: the friendship between Leonardo DiCaprio’s actor character and Brad Pitt’s stuntman character was based on the lifelong friendship of Burt Reynolds and his stuntman Hal Needham. Burt and Hal had matching egos and machismo (not to mention gold chains and chest hair) and they were inseparable friends. Hal even lived in Burt’s guesthouse free for twelve years until he got married again. Hal died in 2013, and Quentin wanted Burt to appear in his movie, but Burt died last year.

BRAD PITT IS BACK – THANKS TO ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD

Brad Pitt has the last laugh when it comes to his role in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Brad and Leonardo DiCaprio have the leading roles, only Leo’s part is MUCH bigger and far more melodramatic than Brad’s Once you see the movie, you realize WHY Brad took the role as Leo’s character’s cash-strapped stuntman. Brad’s stuntman is not only adorable (especially in that Caddy convertible) but he is deliciously relaxed and LIKEABLE. Leo’s has-been actor is egotistical and desperate, all the while chainsmoking and repulsively spitting in public. The 1970’s Hollywood scenes in the movie are HEAVENLY (remember when it was ok to hitchhike?) – the big cars were GORGEOUS, and there was NO TRAFFIC. Tarantino felt compelled to add some ultra violent scenes for his immature male fans, and THAT 45 minutes should be cut from the movie. But this movie is FUN, and Brad Pitt emerges as the cutie he used to be…

WE DON’T FEEL SORRY FOR LEONARDO DICAPRIO

Leonardo DiCaprio has always been at war with the paparazzi. He doesn’t like them, and they don’t like him. Leo admits that he can’t STAND the idea of these guys making money by selling images of HIM. He tells them to get REAL JOBS. (Keep in mind, paparazzi work really long hours and most of them are NOT getting rich.) Granted, Leo IS a popular celebrity, but Jennifer Aniston has been tormented FAR more than he has, and she has always remained polite and doesn’t begrudge paparazzi selling her photos. Wake up Leo! Be grateful that your photos are still in demand!

BRAD PITT AND LEONARDO DICAPRIO: TAKE YOUR PICK

In Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Leonardo DiCaprio plays an actor in a career slump and Brad Pitt plays his stunt double/best friend. They are both struggling in an ever-changing Hollywood in 1969, so the clothing, cars, and sets, are highly nostalgic. Which leading man do you prefer? Brad is 55, 5’11” tall, and worth around 240 million. Leo is 44, 6’ tall, and worth 245 million. (Of course Leo’s single and has no kids, Brad is divorced and has 6 kids.) Above, the movie premiered in Cannes.

LIFE GOES ON FOR LEONARDO DICAPRIO’S MODEL EXGIRLFRIENDS

Sports Illustrated model Nina Agdal, 26, spent a whirlwind globe-trotting year with Leonardo DiCaprio until they split in 2017. Not long after that, the Danish born model fell for Christie Brinkley’s son Jack Brinkley Cook, 23, and they’ve been an item ever since. Jack’s father is Christie’s 3rd husband, Richard Taubman. Jack dabbled in modeling like his mom and sister, but he’s more interested in acting and filmmaking. The wannabe actor hasn’t had much luck and we’re betting Nina is the one paying for their vacations in Capri…
