In real life, we don’t know whether he has a love interest, but we can’t help but wonder how old his female costar in this movie will be…

If you’re wondering how Rihanna landed a role in the two hundred million dollar sci-fi movie “Battleship” with Liam Neeson and Alexander Skarsgard, director Peter Berg explained it all to Vogue. (The movie is about a fleet of ships forced into battling an armada of warships from unknown origins) Berg said he loved her performance on SNL last year and he wanted someone who could be funny and tough at the same time. (It sounds like she got Michelle Rodriguez’s part) It wasn’t easy – Rihanna had to sit behind a machine gun in an inflatable raft in seven foot swells for six hours at a time. Fortunately, Rihanna loves the ocean and had no trouble doing the stunts.

It’s an expertly done action movie with a compelling and suspenseful, if somewhat far-fetched plot. That’s all we’re going to tell you – except see it as soon as possible, before you hear too much about it. It’s highly entertaining, Berlin is captivating, and you will walk out satisfied, for a change. All this and as a bonus, our friend pointed out, there’s no gratuitous sex, nudity, or obscenities.

Vanessa’s husband Liam Neeson brought Natasha from Canada to Lenox Hill hospital in New York so the family could say goodbye. Her sudden death from a freak – and seemingly mild – skiing accident has saddened Hollywood where she was much admired as a person and an actress. Her mother Vanessa Redgrave is bravely consoling Natasha’s two sons, Michael, 13, and Daniel, 12. Natasha’s organs will be donated.
