A GOOD IDEA, BUT THEY WON’T CATCH ON IN HOLLYWOOD

We have to give credit to the women who invented these convertible heel shoes, but will they catch on? The idea is totally sensible – you can change the heel height of your shoes (from 1 and 1/2 inches to 3 and 1/2 inches) according to the occasion. Working women won’t have to tote extra pairs of shoes around or keep them in the office. It’s very practical – the sole is flexible so it‘s comfortable with every heel height. The company is brand new and so far only one style is available ($149) and it‘s functional, but lacks the glamour of designer shoes. Do you think these might catch on? We’re betting they hope someone like Louboutin will buy their idea.

Billionaire Oprah Winfrey has always lamented the fact that she’s usually too big to fit into designer clothes. However she was always able to indulge in the world’s sexiest and most glamorous shoes. Her red soled Louboutins became her trademark on her TV show. But sadly, over the years her bunions became more painful and swollen, and she had to wear flat comfy shoes off camera and just slip on the fancy ones for the show. Wearing expensive stilettos and platforms for big events makes Oprah miserable and she can’t wait to take her gorgeous shoes off. It’s ironic that she can afford any exquisite designer shoes, but her feet are only happy in Uggs.

Are we crazy or does Kim Kardashian’s butt get bigger when she takes off her high heels? She was photographed in the security line at LAX, on her way to Minneapolis, her fiancee Kris Humphries’ hometown. Kim was forced to remove her Louboutins and suddenly she was eight inches shorter and her bottom seems to have gotten considerably bigger.

LOUBOUTINS: THE WAY TO A PETITE WOMAN’S HEART

Short celebrities can’t get enough of Christian Louboutin’s dazzling high heels with the red soles. Lady Gaga, (see photo above) Victoria Beckham, Katy Perry, Penelope Cruz, Sarah Jessica Parker, Beyonce and the Kardashians are all addicted to the brand. So when the English National Ballet needed to raise funds, they asked Louboutin to design a pair of shoes to be auctioned off. He produced these ballet inspired eight inch heels made of silk and covered with crystals. We think the celebrity most likely to buy them is Gaga, and she’ll probably wear them rather than frame them.
