There are a few significant things to point out in this photograph of Madonna taking her family to a Kabbalah meeting in London. First of all, four year old Mercy has become a Kabbalah regular, proving you are never too young for this type of brainwashing. Secondly, Madonna appears to be wearing a high-rise girdle or waist cincher over her sweater. Interesting outfit. Third, Lourdes is now taller than her mother, who is wearing high heels.

Lourdes Leon, who’s just about to turn 13, loves being in New York with her father Carlos and she seems to be getting along great with his blonde girlfriend. Lourdes will not have her mother Madonna’s gap tooth smile – she has braces on her teeth. She does, however, have her mother’s eclectic style.

We pity Carlos Leon’s girlfriends when Lourdes is around. Daughters are notoriously critical of their father’s female companions and we’re guessing Lourdes is outspoken like her mother Madonna. The three of them seem reasonably friendly in this photo taken in Soho. Gum chomping Lourdes seems to be possessive of her father and positions herself between the twosome.

She’s on tour with her mother Madonna in Milan, and Lourdes Cicccone Leon,12, is looking very stylish leaving the hotel in her punked out plaid pants and skeleton scarf. The Obama handbag is the perfect accessory. The whole family (including Jesus Luz) is hopping from one European city to another with matriarch Madonna as she performs in concert. Nice way to spend the summer.

While Madonna prepares to perform tonight in Paris, she sent her children Lourdes, Rocco, David, and Mercy and bodyguards and nannies out sightseeing in the city. Among other attractions, they visited the Notre Dame Cathedral and the artsy historic neighborhood, Montmartre. Lourdes is looking quite fashionable and grown up as she jokes with their bodyguard.

Madonna’s visit to Malawi is going to take a few days longer than expected because there are objections to her quick adoption of the four year old girl named Mercy that Madonna selected. Madonna brought her other kids Rocco, David, and Lourdes, along for the ride, and they are pictured above at the child care center in Malawi. Judging from the look on her face, this was not how Lourdes hoped to spend her Easter vacation. We never thought we’d see Madonna wearing a fanny pack!

It’s happening. Twelve year old Lourdes Leon is showing signs of developing a real fashion sense. At this rate she will become more of a fashion icon than her mother Madonna. Moving to New York was the best thing for her. She shows a natural aptitude for layering and a sense of humor about style. And her eyebrows look a lot better.

Guy Ritchie might be interested to know that Madonna’s rules for herself are a lot looser than the list she sent him when it comes to their kids. When Madonna sent Rocco and David to visit their father in London last week she included a strict list of do’s and don’ts that clearly spelled out what they could eat and drink and who they could or could not meet. “No new friends” she warned. Ironically, it has just been revealed that on the day of Madonna’s concert in LA – November 6- Lourdes and Alex Rodriguez were reportedly seen SHOPPING TOGETHER in Barneys in Beverly Hills. Unfortunately, there were no paparazzi outside that day.

Madonna dragged Lourdes to yet another Kabbalah meeting in New York. We wonder what Lourdes’ father Carlos Leon thinks of Kabbalah. Madonna’s red string bracelet is supposed to ward off bad spirits, so we’re guessing that Madonna thinks the A-Rod scandal isn’t so bad – it’s actually brilliant publicity for her upcoming tour. Otherwise she’d throw that string in the trash.

The Ritchies showed family unity (minus David) this weekend by walking from their building to a nearby movie theater together. Lourdes brought along a lookalike friend and Madonna seemed to have more clothes on than anyone else on this warm day. Just like we told you, Madonna’s daughter Lourdes is happily spending much of her summer vacation with her biological father Carlos Leon in New York. Carlos, who’s still doing training and acting, gets very annoyed when he sees the photographers. Maybe because they’re not that interested in him when Lourdes isn’t around. It must be a relief for Lourdes to get away from all that Kabbalah and be able to eat different food.

Madonna remembers what SHE was like as a teenager and she’s bracing herself for the worst with her 13 year old daughter Lourdes. Imagine her consternation when Lourdes told her she wanted to move in with her biological father, Carlos Leon! Lourdes is still very close with her mother, but she’s growing up fast and she yearns to live in Manhattan and spend more time with her father. She loves her stepfather Guy Ritchie, but he’s not her real dad. Madonna isn’t thrilled with the idea, but she has agreed to allow Lourdes to spend her summer vacation with Carlos in New York.
