LOURDES IS PLANNING HER ESCAPE

She’s just about to turn 16, and Lourdes Leon is planning her future away from her mother Madonna and Kabbalah. Madonna is a controlling parent, and Lola wants her freedom. Right now Lourdes attends LaGuardia High School of Music and Art in Manhattan, and when she graduates, she hopes to move on to Bard College, a private university with a good performing arts department, which is located 90 miles outside of New York. Lourdes knows she will need to be in the city often to work on her Material Girl clothing and makeup collection, so the location is perfect. Far away, but not TOO far away. According to The Sun, she’s already earned enough money with Material Girl to pay her own tuition and expenses so THAT might discourage Madonna from pushing her to study elsewhere.

Lourdes Leon turns sweet 16 next month and you can bet she’s giving her mother a hard time. Health conscious Madonna couldn’t have been happy when Lourdes was photographed SMOKING on the street a few months ago. In spite of that nasty habit, Lourdes has already grown much taller than her mother. Certainly Madonna remembers when SHE couldn’t live without a cigarette, so how angry can she be with her daughter? Lourdes has incorporated a cross into her outfit- don’t know how that works with Kabbalah.

Madonna aims to keep her young boyfriend happy. She’s made a yearly event out of flying his family from Marseilles to the exclusive Hotel du Cap in the French Riviera for ten days in August. Brahim Zaibat, was happy to see his mother Patricia Vidal, 47, (seven years younger than Madonna) and his cousins all together for a vacation. Madonna was there with her four children, Lourdes, Rocco, David and Mercy. Brahim lives in New York now with Madonna and she knows he misses seeing his family. These yearly weekends usually cost well over $100,000. Lourdes reportedly has a crush on one of Brahim’s cousins.

KELLY OSBOURNE’S GREY HAIR COST HER THE MATERIAL GIRL JOB

To no one’s surprise, Kelly Osbourne, 27, has been replaced as spokesperson for Madonna and Lourdes Leon’s Material Girl clothing line at Macy’s. Kelly simply became too mature looking to sell the teen aimed clothing line. Not only did Kelly dye her hair GREY- to Madonna’s complete horror – but she started dressing like a matron, wearing Badgley Mischka gowns. Material Girl needs a hip young image so Madonna replaced Kelly with Mick Jagger’s 20 year old daughter Georgia, who is already a successful model.

MADONNA WANTS HER MEN TO SMELL LIKE WHISKEY

Now that Madonna has her Truth or Dare fragrance selling at Macy’s, she’s starting to think bigger. Besides another scent for women, she’s considering developing a men’s cologne, according to WWD. Madonna says her daughter Lourdes likes to wear men’s cologne and it was HER idea. Madonna is toying with the idea of a whiskey scented men’s fragrance. But is that something that would attract women? We think women would appreciate a men’s cologne with a clean, soapy smell, not whiskey or cigarettes. Just a suggestion.

Update: Someone should bring it to Madonna’s attention that smelling “like whiskey” might not be a good idea for men stopped by a traffic cop or at a job interview…

Madonna and Lourdes arrived at LAX yesterday and the WORST thing happened. Their car wasn’t waiting by the gate! Despite the fact that they were surrounded by security, people stared and flashbulbs popped. Trapped! Madonna’s assistants made hasty calls and the car pulled up in a few minutes. Madonna and Lourdes are here for the Oscars, the Vanity Fair party, and maybe a few gifting suites…

GUESS WHO TELLS MADONNA WHAT TO WEAR – AND SHE LISTENS! (AND HOW ABOUT THAT SUPERBOWL SHOW?)

As controlling and manipulative as Madonna is known to be, she DOES have someone she turns to for a fashion opinion before she leaves the house for special occasions: her 15 year old daughter Lourdes. Lourdes is very opinionated and a surprising source of inspiration for her mother. When Madonna dressed to attend the New York premier of W.E., Lourdes was aghast and told Madonna that no respectable director would wear a corset! Madonna immediately changed into something more elegant but still dramatic (above.) Madonna ALSO keeps tabs on the music Lourdes is listening to, and it influences her creative vision. We were blown away by Madonna’s amazing Superbowl performance – tomorrow she’ll announce her new tour and we bet it’ll sell out FAST – she proved than no matter what you think of her, SHE STILL HAS IT!

Madonna’s daughter Lourdes is 14 going on 21. She looked quite grown up as she took charge and hosted the one year anniversary party of the Material Girl clothing line she and her mother started at Macy’s in New York. You can’t see it in this photo, but she’s wearing a red Kabbalah string on her left wrist in spite of the cult’s financial scandals. When she’s not attending the Fame high school of performing arts and music, she’s working on the fashion collection. Lourdes has become a major fashion influence for pre-teens.

Kelly Osbourne can’t believe how her life has changed since she lost between 28 and 42 pounds. Not only does she have more fun shopping, but she’s been asked to model in fashion shows. The ultimate compliment came when Madonna asked her to replace Taylor Momsen as spokesperson for Madonna and Lourdes’s fashion collection Material Girl. Why Taylor Momsen, 17, now on “indefinite hiatus” from Gossip Girl, lost her job after less than five months is not known.

Madonna is very controlling when it comes to her daughter Lourdes and we wonder if Lourdes will turn out to be as mean-spirited and elitist as her mother seems to be in the following letter. It’s classic Madonna attidude– and she might prefer that Lourdes doesn’t see it. In the summer of 1991 Madonna was filming “A League of Their Own” in Chicago and she wrote this letter to her friend photographer Steven Meisel. Later they worked together on her Sex book.
