He’s dressed to kill for NYC Fashion Week, but Marc Jacobs didn’t forget to promote his Marc Jacobs X Peanuts collection. He’s wearing one of his Lucy shoulder bags, which retails for around $325. We didn’t know about this Peanuts thing, but the collection features all the Charlie Brown characters plus our favorite – Snoopy. There are Peanuts inspired sweats, sneakers, denim jackets, phone covers, just about everything. And it’s selling out around the world. Further proof that casual clothes have become far more important than couture…

Luka Sabbat might be half of Chloe Sevigny’s age, but they look like a cute and plausible couple – and they do have something important in common: an obsession with fashion. Chloe’s eccentric style while walking around New York got her a big spread in the New Yorker magazine and that led to her first acting job. Luka grew up around fashion – his parents were both in the fashion biz, resulting in Luka’s idiosyncratic fashion sense. They attended Marc Jacobs’ wedding reception together and left with their party favors: designer vaping pens and hoodies featuring two Otters in love, saying “Don’t float away.”

Marc Jacobs is taking us back to the 70’s – and maybe to Harlem- in his Fall 2017 collection. Kendall Jenner is rocking a burgundy corduroy leisure suit with a big gold pendant chain. Her hat looks like it came right out of Sly Stone’s closet! And those bell bottoms and platform shoes- so reminiscent of good times on Soul Train…

Before Caitlyn Jenner there was Lana Wachowski. Lana, 50, is the first major Hollywood director to come out as transgender. Lana and her brother Andy Wachowski are responsible for the Matrix film franchise and much more. We find Lana fascinating because she is so atypical. Instead of glamming up with tons of hair and makeup and cleavage, she chooses to look more like a funky pop star or eccentric Diane Keaton type. She is WAY more imaginative than most transwomen – hence the bright colored dreadlocks. Marc Jacobs was inspired to feature her prominently in his Spring 2016 campaign.
Seems like EVERYBODY is in St Barts this week! Designer Marc Jacobs, 52, and his on-again off-again boyfriend Lorenzo Martone, 36, definitely look on again. They’ve been together for most of seven years and Lorenzo is not a bad catch – he’s a creative business man and owns the Martone Cycling Company. They make designer bikes beautiful enough to store in New York apartments. (In the $1000 range,) As you can see Marc once again has leapt at the opportunity to wear something with an edge – this time it’s tropical satin shorts.

Cher, 69, HAS to look good pretty much all the time now that she’s the face of Marc Jacobs Fall Collection. (They went to the Met Gala together.) He probably gave her a truckload of new outfits. She’s sharing the honor with Willow Smith, 14, because Marc says that “Style knows no age.” Cher showed up at LAX in an interesting jacket and loads of hair.

We were charmed by this photo of prolific designer Marc Jacobs having lunch at a café in New York with an ex-boyfriend – not because of the guys, but because of the dogs. Marc’s adorable Bull Terrier and his friend’s dog happily wrestled on the sidewalk beside them. Jacobs has two Bull Terriers- Daisy and Alfred – and he had a special dog carrier trunk built at Louis Vuitton so his pets can travel in comfort.

Our two favorite celebrity looks at the Christian Dior fashion show in Paris: Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence – she’s staying at the incredibly posh Ritz hotel while she enjoys Fashion Week. It’s amazing what a hit movie can do for you. Jennifer looks appropriately beautiful in her summer dress and we wonder what’s in those goody bags. Marc Jacobs is still promoting skirts for men – he’s hoping the idea catches on. Interesting shoes, however…
