Mariah Carey has been on a furious binge of personal appearances and nightclubbing since her billionaire fiancé James Packer called off their engagement. (Mariah jilted!) Now she’s demanding millions for the “inconvenience.” And Mariah’s making sure she’s photographed smooching and cuddling with her boytoy dancer Brian Tanaka. Is she trying to send a message to James Packer, by any chance? Who does Mariah think she’s fooling? She was chosen to flip the switch turning on the Empire State Building lights for the holiday season and arrived looking like THIS. Tacky and matronly.

JAMES PACKER: DID SCIENTOLOGY FINALLY DO SOMETHING RIGHT?

The answer to the above question is no. From the outside looking in, it appears that high-ranking Scientologist Tommy Davis DID do billionaire James Packer a favor by influencing him to dump his spendthrift fiancée Mariah Carey. Back in the early 2000s, Packer’s life was a disaster and Tom Cruise stepped in to help. (Tommy Davis was Cruise’s Scientology “handler” at the time.) They helped solve Packer’s problems (we’d LOVE to know HOW!) and pulled the billionaire into Scientology where he lasted for five years. Packer drifted from Scientology, but he was so impressed with Tommy Davis that he gave him a vague job “managing his investments” in the USA. Not long ago Davis pointed out to Packer that his fiancée Mariah was spending absurd amounts of his money. Packer ended the engagement and Mariah is blaming Tommy Davis for the split. Did Tommy do Packer A FAVOR when he disengaged the couple? Probably yes. BUT, and this is a BIG but, now Packer is ripe to be drawn back into Scientology, so that’s the horrible downside.

JAMES PACKER AND MARIAH CAREY’S INEVITABLE SPLIT: IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME!

Is ANYBODY surprised that Australian billionaire James Packer changed his mind about marrying Mariah Carey? Last year when they met, the coupling seemed like a good idea. Both have high school educations and enjoy attention. He’s wealthy and she likes to spend money. Packer was enchanted with Mariah’s glamorous lifestyle and friends, and they both loved yachting and vacationing on tropical islands. But like Packer’s infatuation with Scientology (thanks to Tom Cruise) the novelty wore off. Packer observed how high maintenance and self-indulgent Mariah is, and we think he just got tired of waiting for her to “get ready” with the help of her beauty staff, night after night before they went out. He probably pictured himself holding her up in her high heels for years to come, and came to his senses!

MARIAH CAREY WILL DO ALMOST ANYTHING FOR HER REALITY SHOW

We have a feeling we’re going to see a lot of Mariah Carey, 47, looking sexed-up and appearing in unexpected places. It can only be due to her new reality show Mariah’s World for the E! channel. Producers have to whip up some interesting situations to make the show compelling because in real life Mariah would rather be at home sipping champagne when she’s not working. Otherwise, why would she cram herself into this leather and fishnet outfit to make a one hour appearance in the DJ booth at 1Oak in Las Vegas? She DID hum along to her own songs…

MARIAH CAREY DOESN’T LOOK LIKE A HALLMARK GIRL

Mariah Carey is being helped into Mastro’s Steakhouse in head-to-toe black leather, and she looks quite happy about her new contract with the Hallmark channel. She just signed a deal to produce, direct, and costar(?) in three movies for the cable channel. Her last effort with Hallmark kept observers amused because every time she appeared in a scene, the lighting suddenly became more flattering. This, along with her reality show, should keep her busy and out of trouble.

Bad Behavior Bad Manners Envy Jennifer Lopez Mariah Carey

WATCH IT MARIAH – YOUR J.LO ENVY IS SHOWING!

Why does Mariah Carey go out of her way to make herself unlikeable? She seems to thoroughly ENJOY being called a DIVA – a highly unflattering term for self-indulgent women. Mariah needs four men to hold her up when she’s wearing her seven inch heels (they are just out of photo range, above.) It makes her feel special. Mariah went TOO FAR when she acted like she didn’t KNOW Jennifer Lopez on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live. (She arrived LATE for the LIVE show.) BOTH performers were at the NBC Universal event at Radio City Music Hall (above) on Monday! The two singers have things in common – both from New York, they’re the same age, and both have twins. Couldn’t Mariah muster up SOMETHING pleasant to say about Jennifer? Does Mariah have a superiority complex because she has more money? She’s certainly lacking in manners. Jennifer works CONSTANTLY and does not keep people waiting. Maybe Mariah is jealous of Jennifer’s successful TV series – she always wanted to act also. Most likely, Mariah is quite envious of Jennifer for many reasons or she wouldn’t pretend not to KNOW her. We are TEAM J.LO all the way!

Lookalike Mariah Carey Reality Shows

ONE MARIAH CAREY IS NOT ENOUGH

Mariah Carey arrived in Paris looking super hot after her big birthday party at Lake Como in Italy. We were surprised to hear that she threw herself a birthday party almost a month after her birthday (March 27) and instructed all the guests to dress up “LIKE THEIR FAVORITE MARIAH.” Really? She invited friends, but mostly people from her ongoing European tour. It must have been quite a challenge to dress up like one of Mariah’s personas (we didn’t realize she HAD more than one.) Her hair and makeup staffers helped out – imagine dozens of male and female Mariah lookalikes running around! The mystery of the oddly frivolous party was solved when we learned that cameras were covering the event for Mariah’s documentary/TV series called “Mariah’s World.” Yep, she’s got a reality show too.

MARIAH CAREY’S NEW MANAGER: SHAKING THINGS UP IN A GOOD WAY?

Maybe Mariah Carey’s new manager isn’t so bad. Page Six claims that the new manager is very difficult and demanding, and several of her longtime staffers have left. That includes her stylist. And judging by this photo from her Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour, now in the UK, that might be a good thing. Mariah has never been noted for her fabulous and creative costumes, and it’s HIGH TIME she upgraded her style. Fanciful costumes are the one thing lacking from her performances. Maybe some new people in her entourage will bring fresh ideas.

MARIAH CAREY AND JAMES PACKER: DO THEY BELONG TOGETHER?

Wow. This is a rare photo of Mariah Carey out for the evening and NOT holding on to one or two men to keep her from tripping in her stilettos. Maybe this photo is telling us something about her relationship with billionaire James Packer. The couple was photographed at Nobu in NYC and Maria looks giddy as a schoolgirl – she probably has a big crush on him. Packer seems to be paying more attention to the paparazzi than he is to Mariah (she could fall on her face!) Packer’s “crush” on Mariah might be wearing off – she IS hard to please and self-centered in her private life. He’s probably enjoys the publicity he’s getting now, but we predict he will tire of her self-indulgence. Being with Mariah can be hard work.

MARIAH CAREY’S LITTLE BOY LOST IT AT HER WALK OF FAME CEREMONY

Mariah Carey’s little boy Moroccan Cannon got so excited at her Walk of Fame ceremony on Hollywood Blvd that he wet his pants! His nanny picked him up and took him away. Traffic in Hollywood was tied up for HOURS as Mariah drew a huge crowd. It was high noon and a hot day but Mariah chose to wear a black low cut evening gown. She does have an odd fashion sense.
