They’ve only been dating for a few months, but Dancing with the Stars’ Mark Ballas and American Idol contestant Pia Toscano’s night out with Kim Kardashian has fueled a startling rumor. The happy group dined at Katsuya and Mark walked out carrying a bottle of champagne that Kim gave him and Pia was sporting a sparkling ring on her finger. Does that add up to an engagement? American Idol and Dancing with the Stars are off the air, and DWTS dancer Mark Ballas and AI contestant Pia Toscano waited in line for brunch at Toast Cafe on Memorial Day just like everyone else. Their undercover romance is now out in the open and they were hugging and kissing at every opportunity. Pia left her boyfriend in New York and she’s planning to stay in LA, so Mark has a new dance partner.
“The Kids Are All Right” star Mark Ruffalo was amused when he learned his name had been added to the Terrorist Watch List simply because he was supportive of the documentary “Gasland,” which opposes natural gas drilling that threatens water supplies. Mark can breathe easy because he is NOT on the more excusive and inconvenient No Fly list. The Terrorist list has around a million names on it while the No Fly list has only around 8500. Mark’s situation certainly calls into question the government’s idea of who might be a potential terrorist.

The Ballas Hough band, which consists of Dancing With The Stars regulars Derek Hough and Mark Ballas, put on an athletic show at The Grove this week. Earlier in the week Derek was spotted by a DWTS fan they were standing in line together at Quiznos Sub Shop at Hollywood and Western. Derek was friendly and he and the fan chatted about the show, about Cloris Leachman, and other characters on the show, while waiting to order subs. When he reached the cashier, Derek insisted on paying for the fan’s sub, proving he’s the nice guy he seems to be.
