RONAN FARROW VS MATT LAUER: WHO DO YOU BELIEVE?

Catch and Kill by Ronan Farrow is one of the most important books we have read this year. AT LONG LAST, someone has cared enough – and been BRAVE enough -to document some of the sex crimes perpetrated by men in powerful positions against young women. These cronies covered up for each other for a long time and less are getting away with it now, thanks to people like Ronan Farrow. Matt Lauer has long had a questionable reputation as a womanizer – we just didn’t realize how bad it was. Same with Harvey Weinstein. Both were extensively examined in the book. Now, disgruntled Matt Lauer is questioning Farrow’s reporting practices as “flawed” – hoping to raise doubts about his accuracy. Farrow’s information was fact checked and re-checked by his diligent publisher. No doubts here.

Boys Club Matt Lauer Sexual Harassment Terminated

MATT LAUER’S REIGN OF TERROR AT NBC IS OVER!

Just as we suspected, as soon as Matt Lauer‘s termination was announced, MORE women worked up the courage to call him out for sexual misconduct. Hopefully, the malevolent and sexist “boys club” that ruled at the Today Show since day one, will finally be broken up for good. We’re guessing that Ann Curry (above) is very happy today – it’s common knowledge that the entitled Lauer orchestrated the termination of the engaging news anchor. And, of course we wonder what Tamron Hall has to say – both of these women were very popular on the show and left for illogical reasons. We’d love to see them both return!

MATT LAUER FAILED TO ASK CHARLIE SHEEN IF HE HAD SEX WITH MEN!

We’re betting that females won’t be the only people considering lawsuits against Charlie Sheen for not disclosing that he was infected with HIV before they had sex. If we remember correctly, during his heaviest drug addled days he requested the services of prostitutes of both sexes. Sometimes more than one at a time. To be honest, we’re not sure if they have a case, because isn’t it up to each individual to protect his or herself? And the question has come up: Is it actually against the law in California not to reveal HIV status to sex partners? Our BIGGEST mystery is: Why didn’t Matt Lauer ask Charlie if he had sex with men?”

Divorce Giada De Laurentiis Matt Lauer Today Show

HOW DOES MATT LAUER FEEL ABOUT GIADA DE LAURENTIIS’S DIVORCE?

The speculation that chef Giada De Laurentiis and her husband Todd Thompson were splitting up has been going around for quite awhile. We were just about to dismiss the idea when she announced they are, indeed, divorcing after 11 years together and one six year old daughter. They built this house together in Pacific Palisades in 2007, and we wonder if she will keep it. It’s 3,160 sq ft, 4 bedrooms , 3 baths, and has a sundeck on top for entertaining. Now those rumors about Giada and Matt Lauer will heat up! He always gets very excited when she appears on The Today Show. (By the way, if you haven’t tried Giada’s pasta sauce (sold only at Target) do so – it’s yummy!)

MATT LAUER AND ANNETTE: MIRACLES DO HAPPEN

Here in LA, we don’t get to see Matt Lauer and his wife Annette very often, but against all odds, they are still together after 16 years, and look content. Tabloids have often accused Matt of cheating, and in 2006 when Annette was pregnant with their third child, she actually filed for divorce and then changed her mind. There were more cheating accusations during the Winter Olympics but the marriage weathered the storm once again. And here they are at the posh Hamptons Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton.

Pamela Anderson must have had a good laugh this morning when Today show host Matt Lauer burst onto the show dressed up as Baywatch Pam for Halloween. Actually he has nice legs! Our favorites were Natalie Morales and Savannah Guthrie dressed up as Laverne & Shirley. Schlemiel, schlimazel!

Cher Matt Lauer Today Show

IS CHER ENGAGED OR WAS IT JUST A SLIP OF THE TONGUE?

Cher appeared on The Today Show this morning and we could SWEAR that during her interview Matt Lauer let a secret slip out. We thought we heard him say that Cher had big news about her ENGAGEMENT. There was an awkward silence and the subject was abruptly changed and they talked about something else. Did Matt spill the beans or did we imagine it? Cher has been hanging out with writer Ron Zimmerman and says that she learned to keep her private life private. We wonder if anyone else saw this on the show…

THE SOLUTION TO MATT LAUER’S PROBLEMS

Matt Lauer’s fierce and determined interview with Paula Deen in which he didn’t let her squirm out of a single important answer, brought to mind the rumor that he might be in line to take over Piers Morgan’s show on CNN. Today is still lagging in the sweeps and it seems like no one will ever let him forget about the Ann Curry firing. So a nighttime interview show might be looking pretty good to Matt about now. And Piers isn’t exactly breaking any sweeps or popularity records either.

Ann Curry Excuses Fired Matt Lauer Today

NBC must REALLY be getting worried about the ratings on the Today show because they had the show’s executive producer make excuses for Matt Lauer to The Hollywood Reporter. Not only is the morning show in a ratings slump, but Lauer’s popularity is dimming fast. The unpleasantly handled replacement of Ann Curry by younger Savannah Guthrie caused their problems. Viewers just won’t forgive tyrannical Matt for dumping Ann and humiliating her. Let’s face it, narrow-minded male producers of the show probably think Matt is the GREATEST, and that females are interchangeable! They were shocked by this turn of events! Did it never occur to them that bald stodgy men surrounded by young beauty queens might NOT be what the public wants to see?

ANGELINA JOLIE IS TEAM CURRY

It looks like NBC will rue the day they fired Ann Curry. When Matt Lauer decided he no longer wanted Ann as his cohost on the Today show, she was unceremoniously replaced by younger Savannah Guthrie. Viewers (us included) were fond of Ann and turned off by Matt’s tyrannical behavior. (HIS reputation will never be the same.) Ann’s fans are tuning out in droves and ratings for the show are disappointing – especially since the Olympic games ended. Best of All, Radaronline reports that Angelina Jolie has expressed her outrage at Ann’s treatment – she and Ann worked together to bring awareness to Darfur, among other things, and struck up a friendship. Angelina says if NBC wants to interview her or Brad in the future, they will ONLY do it with Ann.
