MEG RYAN HAS A NEW FRIEND
Filed Under: Meg Ryan > Mystery Date

Could it be that Meg Ryan has found a new guy? And he’s not a famous actor? Meg, her daughter Daisy, and the new man had lunch in Meg’s west side neighborhood and then they went to a movie together. The three of them held hands as they walked to the movie and Daisy seemed particularly friendly with the mystery man. Whoever he is, they both seem fond of him.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T LOOK AT MEG RYAN
Filed Under: Fashion > Meg Ryan

Sometimes Meg Ryan looks like she’s dressing to camouflage herself. She wears really drab colors and plain styles so that people (and photographers) won’t pay attention to her and she can go about her business unnoticed. The “little brown sparrow” look didn’t work this time – she was spotted going to breakfast at Le Pain in Brentwood.

MEG RYAN ISN'T AFRAID TO WEAR THE SAME DRESS TWICE

Meg Ryan is in Berlin promoting “The Women” and we love the fact that it looks like she wore the same black dress at the New York movie premier. In between wearings she got a great haircut and looks even better in Germany. On November 27, she will be in Munich to pick up her Bambi Lifetime Achievement Award. It’s nice to be appreciated.

DAISY IS MEG RYAN'S DREAM COME TRUE

Meg Ryan has to be one of the happiest adoption mothers on the planet. She believes she and her daughter Daisy were “destined” to be together. “There was nothing random about this adoption. We’re totally compatible.” Above, Meg is taking her little girl, 3 ½, to pre-school.

MEG RYAN DOESN'T FOLLOW THE PACK
Filed Under: Fashion > Meg Ryan

Sorry, but we happen to love Meg Ryan’s funky personal style. At least she doesn’t follow the younger clones in this town who scramble to show off the biggest and most expensive handbags and shoes, and wear all the same jeans and ordinary dresses that they get free from designers. Topped off with fake hair, fake eyelashes, fake tan, and implants, of course. Meg has always had a downtown no-nonsense hip look all her own and we appreciate it.

THE WOMEN: NOT A MAN IN SIGHT
Filed Under: Annette Bening > Debi Mazar > Debra Messing > Eva Mendes > Jada Pinkett > Meg Ryan > Premier > The Women

Much of the amazing cast of the updated version of “The Women” showed up at the premier located, ironically, at Mann’s theater in Hollywood. From left are Jada Pinkett, Annette Bening, Debra Messing, Meg Ryan, Eva Mendes, and Debi Mazar. A superb collection of acting talent. There’s not a single man in this cast and we can hardly wait to see how they pull that off. Not even a cab driver or doorman?

MICK JAGGER HAS BIG BUCKS INVESTED IN MEG RYAN
Filed Under: Meg Ryan > Mick Jagger > The Women

Meg Ryan took her teenage son Jack shopping at Fred Segal in Santa Monica for back to school stuff. He’s getting very tall very fast and probably needs new clothes frequently. Meg stars in “The Women” which will be released September 12 – hopefully it will attract the enthusiastic female audience that made “Sex & the City” such a hit. We’re still amused by the fact that Mick Jagger produced this film.

MEG RYAN IS NOT THRILLED WITH HER CAREER
Filed Under: Antonio Banderas > Meg Ryan > My Mom's New Boyfriend > Weight

Chunky Meg Ryan looks believably out of shape in this picture but it’s only a fat suit. The photo is from her romantic comedy “My Mom’s New Boyfriend” which costars Antonio Banderas as her love interest and Colin Hanks as her son. Unfortunately, it was due to be released last Spring and postponed – and that is never a good sign. Nobody does romantic comedies better than Meg, however, when she has a good script.

MEG RYAN AND HER SON JACK HAVE FUN IN SOHO
Filed Under: Dennis Quaid > Kids > Meg Ryan

Meg Ryan looks almost the same age as her 16 year old son Jack as they playfully take in the sights in Soho in New York. Jack is tall like his father Dennis Quaid, but he looks a lot like his mother. Meg’s little girl Daisy was not along for the outing.

MEG RYAN GETS HAPPY AT NEIMAN MARCUS

Meg Ryan rarely smiles for the cameras, so she must really be thrilled with her purchases at Neiman Marcus. It’s amazing what shopping euphoria will do to one’s mood!

LONG TIME NO SEE: TOM HANKS AND MEG RYAN

They were a hot screen couple in the 90’s. Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks costarred in two memorable romantic comedies, “Sleepless in Seattle” and “You’ve Got Mail.” The former screen lovers ran into each other recently at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony in New York and they still look cute together.

MEG RYAN HAS THAT DOWNTOWN LOOK
Filed Under: Fashion > Meg Ryan

Could it be that one of the reasons adorable Meg Ryan resists being photographed is because she takes a lot of flak for the way she dresses? She’s never been one to follow cookie cutter trends and has always maintained her own look. A lot of fashion “experts” like to make fun of anyone who deviates from the norm. We happen to think she has a great original personal style – more lower Manhattan funky that Hollywood glam, but refreshing. And we always love her beat-up footwear.

Guess who we bumped into at the Brentwood Farmers Market wearing sunglasses on a rainy day? It’s Meg Ryan and her nattily dressed little girl Daisy picking up flowers and fruit and vegetables.

MEG RYAN AND MATT PERRY SNEAKING AROUND THE WILTERN THEATER

Meg Ryan is certainly keeping herself busy. Just last week she was seen in New York with Hank Azaria, and last night she rendezvoused with Matthew Perry. The Swell Season was playing at the Wiltern theater and Matt and Meg were spotted arriving separately. We’re told they sat together inside the theater, and then they departed separately. Maybe Meg doesn’t want her boyfriends to know about each other.

MEG RYAN AND HANK AZARIA SNEAK OUT OF THE WAVERLY INN
Filed Under: Hank Azaria > Meg Ryan > New Couple

Wow. This photo makes the imagination run wild. If you look closely you’ll see the always uncooperative Meg Ryan leaving the Waverly Inn in New York and that’s Hank Azaria holding the door for her and several other people. They were seen leaving together – is this a new romance? They’ve known each other since 1997 when they both provided voices for the movie Anastasia.

MEG RYAN IS GETTING IN CHARACTER FOR "THE WOMEN"
Filed Under: Meg Ryan > The Women

Meg Ryan is looking rather normal and cute these days. She’s filming the remake of “The Women” - hopefully, readers have seen the 1938 original movie with Norma Shearer and Joan Crawford and an all female cast. This time around, Meg plays the “good girl” Norma Shearer role and Eva Mendes plays the Joan Crawford tramp role. Annette Bening has the Rosalind Russell part. Mix Bette Midler, Carrie Fisher, and Debi Mazar into the also all female cast and we can hardly wait to see this one! And here’s a surprise- Mick Jagger is producer!

MEG RYAN FAMILY OUTING
Meg Ryan and her son Jack and her adopted daughter Daisy had a cute family outing at Orso for lunch recently. Jack,15, took charge and ordered for everyone. Meg told the waiter “He’s growing up so fast!” They had a pleasant meal and later Meg was heard talking on her cell phone as she left the ladies room. She was saying ruefully “We all make mistakes. I’ve given up hope of ever finding Mr Right.” Yikes, if cute Meg gives up, what hope can the rest of us have?
