Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown, 47, is taking a chance on love once again. She’s wearing an engagement ring from her boyfriend of three years, UK hairdresser Rory McPhee, 36. This will be her 3rd marriage – her last one to Stephen Belafonte (fake name) was a disaster. His birth name was Stephen Stansbury and he was described as a con man. He had a criminal record and a history of abusing women. Divorcing him in 2019 cost Mel B a LOT of money. Last year, Melanie worked as a judge on The Masked singer: Australia and Rory was the hairdresser on the show. The rest is history.

SCARY SPICE HAD A SCARY MARRIAGE TO A FAKE BELAFONTE

At least SOMETHING GOOD has come out of Mel B “Scary Spice’s” abusive marriage to Stephen Belafonte. It seems Melanie has been recognized with an MBE award in the UK for her commitment to helping women suffering from domestic violence. We could never figure out what she saw in the guy. His real name was Stephen Stansbury and when he moved to LA from New Jersey, he changed his last name to Belafonte, hoping to pose as Harry Belafonte’s son. It did open a few doors. We were horrified to hear from people in his home town that he had taken a brick and violently killed a mallard duck he found his front yard in New Jersey before he left. He already had a record of burglary and assault. A waitress at the Rainbow bar on Sunset told me that Stephen and Mel were in the habit of sitting at the bar, trying to pick up pretty girls for “threesomes.” But it was not all fun and games. Mel started showing up for work on TV shows with cuts and bruises. Her friends begged her to dump the husband. Eventually she wised up and divorced the fake Belafonte- the sleazy guy now calls himself a “producer.”

MELANIE “SCARY SPICE” BROWN IS BRUTALLY HONEST ABOUT HER LIFE

Mel B just released her autobiography Brutally Honest and it proves that she IS one of the wildest sex & drugs celebrities from her era. We remember back in the early 2000’s when she and Stephen Belafonte would prowl the Rainbow on Sunset for pretty girls to take home for threesomes. (How she could marry a guy who changed his name to Belafonte in hopes of passing for Harry Belafonte’s son, is a mystery.) She talks about it in her book, but what MOST surprised us was Mel calling Eddie Murphy the love of her life. Their romance might have lasted, but she got pregnant and that spoiled everything. Her divorce is costing a fortune, so Mel (AKA Scary Spice) is lucky that the Spice Girls are starting a concert tour next June.

OF COURSE MEL B IS SLEEPING WITH HER HAIRDRESSER

Every since Melanie Brown split with her husband Stephen Belafonte, she’s been keeping company with her hairdresser Gary Madatyan, who HAS given her some cool haircuts. By “keeping company” we mean they have been spotted EVERYWHERE together and Mel hasn’t been seen with other men. Both insist the relationship is platonic. But the fact that Mel likes a lot of sex in her life (she and Belafonte used to invite girls from The Rainbow to come home with them for threesomes) combined with the fact that Gary is the ONLY man she hangs with, certainly adds up to SOME kind of relationship “with benefits.”

You’d never guess she was in the middle of what might turn out to be the most scandalous divorce in memory. Her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte (not his birth name) is a sleazy con artist with a police record and he plans to make her suffer. Already there is talk of extortion and sex tapes, a pregnant nanny, and now the old girlfriends that Stephen brutalized are threatening to tell all. Or something else? Mel B, a judge on America’s Got Talent, IS open minded about a lot of things. MELANIE BROWN’S HUSBAND BRAWLS TO “DEFEND HER HONOR”

Jovial drinks at the bar of the fancy May Fair Hotel in London ended up in a brawl thanks to Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown’s temperamental husband Stephen Belafonte. Bar patrons said everyone was having a pleasant time (Mel was in the hall talking to friends) when there was an “explosion of violence” and Stephen jumped on another bald guy at the bar and they rolled on the floor cursing, punching, and kicking. Stephen had his sweater ripped off and the other baldie hit his head on a coffee table and was bleeding profusely. Mel watched in horror as three hotel staffers pulled them apart. Stephen begged the photographer to delete the pics he took but when police and paramedics arrived the snapper slipped away. Belafonte claimed the fight started because the other guy made a lewd comment about his wife. Maybe, but Belafonte (not has real name) has a history of violence AGAINST women, not IN DEFENSE of them. He’s been charged with violence against ex girlfriends under his real name, Stansbury. Mel and her questionable husband are in London to promote her new reality series “Mel B: It’s a Scary World.” Too bad TV cameras weren’t around for this incident.
