Most of Mel B’s friends, plus her own mother, are hoping that rumors about Mel and her husband Stephen “Belafonte” splitting up are TRUE! Since Melanie married her con man over two years ago, her friends have been praying she’d come to her senses. After all, it turned out Stephen has criminal records in San Diego, New Jersey, and Los Angeles – – mostly for assault and battery on wives and girlfriends, with a few credit card and eviction problems thrown in. He tried to pass himself off as Harry Belafonte’s son, but his real last name is Stansbury. Not only that, but he cheats and chases other women every time Mel turns her back. Unfortunately, Mel is addicted to his hot lovin’ so she’s been blind to his defects. The couple was out the other night, but refused to talk about their relationship.

Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown and her husband Stephen “Belafonte” went to The Rainbow on Sunset and ordered some dinners to go downstairs. While they were waiting, Stephen headed toward the mens room, but ran up to the upstairs bar and hit on 3 blonde women, one at a time. He was heard telling one that he was “Harry Belafonte’s nephew” and he’d like to call her sometime. He sweet talked, offered to buy them drinks and got 3 phone numbers. “Lets get together sometime.” One girl mentioned his wife and he shrugged “We have an understanding.” He left pocketing the numbers, and dashed downstairs as Melanie was paying for the food. Whether he was cheating on his wife – or lining up three-ways for her, depends on your imagination.

The atmosphere at Prive nightclub in Las Vegas must have heated up when Lindsay Lohan and Melanie Brown got together. Melanie is currently performing in the “Peep Show” burlesque show, also located at Planet Hollywood. Mel reportedly snapped a photo of Lindsay and startled her and apologized by planting a big kiss on her. Lindsay didn’t complain. The two hit the dance floor were they gyrated in a frenzy until they collapsed in a sweaty heap. Hmmm.

Mel is planning to fly in all kinds of celebrity friends (whether she knows them or not) to attend an extravagant wedding weekend when she and Stephen Belafonte renew their vows. The hitch is that all guests have to sign releases. Melanie hopes to sell the photos and video from the event for tons of money. Granted, she and Victoria both live in LA and rarely socialize, so they aren’t close. But the absence of Victoria and David will certainly lessen the photo value of the event and might influence other celebs not to participate.

Page 6 wrote about the planned wedding where all the guests (hopefully celebrities) must sign releases before the event so the resulting video and photos can be sold, supposedly for a lot of money. Mel’s friends wonder if her husband Stephen “Belafonte,” who calls himself a producer, is producing this event. He is very skillful at spending his wife’s money and hasn’t been working lately. Also, her friends would love to know WHO would be dumb enough to PAY big bucks for exclusive rights. They also wonder if Melanie is hard up for money.

They all sat outside (at separate tables) as close to the paparazzi as possible and ironically they all walked out at once. Imagine the chaos as celebrities collided with valet parking attendants, pedestrians, fans and photographers in front of the restaurant! Camera loving Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, Mel B and her questionable husband Stephen Belafonte, and the ubiquitous Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt all posed together as if they were old friends. Ozzy looks slimmer, and Heidi made sure her Chanel gloves and Hermes bag were prominently featured.
