MICHAEL MADSEN: BAD BOYS DISCUSSING THEIR NEXT MOVIE…OR MOVE?

Looks like Michael Madsen has recovered from the Chinese Theater Walk of Fame ceremony a few weeks ago. You will remember the event had a very small turnout, which was fortunate because Madsen seemed to be drunk or hungover and had to be helped to the podium. He had a bump on his head and apologized to his wife for recent bad behavior during his speech. This week he turned up in Rome where he had a meeting with Italian producer Andrea Iervolino at a cafe in Rome. Two years ago this producer was accused of sexual battery by a business woman at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The suit was dismissed when the woman ended up mysteriously dropping charges.

WHAT HAPPENED TO MICHAEL MADSEN?

The Reservoir Dogs star arrived for his hand and footprint ceremony at the Chinese Theater and very few people showed up (Covid?) to watch. Madsen had two men helping him walk to the microphone and he appeared to be roaring drunk. He rambled hoarsely about how he “hit his head” and just got out of the hospital so he almost didn’t make it. Then he noticed his wife DeAnna siting in the sparse audience and he looked pleasantly surprised. He apologized to her for “all the bad things that happened in the last few days” said “I’m glad you’re here” and told her he loved her. Two guys helped him stagger over to the square of wet concrete and with their help, he signed and added his handprints. DeAnna was pulled over to pose with him for photos, but when the event ended they appeared to go their separate ways. Looks like she has to put up with a lot…

The Hateful Eight star Michael Madsen, 58, has nothing but love for his son Luke as they visit a doctor in Beverly Hills. Who would have guessed that Madsen is also a poet and has had several books of poetry published! He has five sons and one of them, Christian, is also an actor. Between Tarantino films, Michael churns out numerous low budget thrillers and makes a good living. Too bad about the hats…

MICHAEL MADSEN JUST CAN’T SAY NO

Michael Madsen’s appearance in Thelma & Louise screamed THIS IS A BIG STAR IN THE MAKING. His appearance in Reservoir Dogs validated his tough guy appeal and potential. He always shines in Tarantino films, but he never got that SPECIAL role that would put him over the top. However, he IS an excellent example of a steadily “working actor” – he films from 12 to 15 movies a YEAR! Apparently he says YES to every offer! He does mostly straight to video cheezy horror and biker movies, but he’s one of the busiest actors around.

DARYL HANNAH, MICHAEL MADSEN AND STEPHEN BALDWIN ARE CRANKING OUT A MOVIE IN ROME

Daryl Hannah, Michael Madsen, and Stephen Baldwin are in Rome filming a movie called “Sight of the Dead.” No information is available about the movie, but it looks like one of those low budget horror movies that might or might not be good. The idea of filming on location in Rome could be what appealed to the actors. Believe it or not, Michael Madsen is set film do 11 assorted movies this year. The off-duty actors seem to be very interested in their lunch at an Italian restaurant.

MICHAEL MADSEN: THIS IS WHAT SUBSTANCE ABUSE CAN DO TO YOU

We recall the first time we saw Michael Madsen in the early 90’s in “Thelma & Louise” – he was spectacular as an Elvis-lookalike tough guy with a heart of gold. He went on to do movies like “Reservoir Dogs” and “Kill Bill” plus the fabulous “Species” series. What happened? This week he was arrested after a confrontation with his teenage son where he took away the kid’s marijuana. He was described by police as “intoxicated.” Madson has had other embarrassing incidents involving substance abuse over the past few years. But this mug shot startled us – it rivals Nick Nolte’s. Michael Madsen is blonde? – apparently he’s Scandinavian and his sister Virginia Madsen is blonde too. Little did we know….

MICHAEL MADSEN IS AN ACCOMPLISHED POET

Tough guy actor Michael Madsen is in New York promoting his latest book of poetry “American Badass.” The book is dedicated to his friend and “Kill Bill” costar David Carradine who died in Thailand last year. It includes a poem about their friendship called “So You Did It In Bangkok.” Madsen’s mother is a poet also.

Footloose

In 2002 security guards at LA’s hip downtown hotel The Standard, did a double take when they saw Michael Madsen get off the elevator at the rooftop bar with a giant (4 foot) styrofoam foot in his arms. It seems Michael has just checked in (he was filming Kill Bill nearby) and the foot was a prominently featured piece of “art” in his suite. It was HATE at first sight. Madsen decided he couldn’t sleep in the same room with that foot so he carried it out, looking for somewhere to stash it. Security couldn’t coax him into putting the foot back in his room, so hotel staffers hid it in storage until he checked out.
