JADE JAGGER: PROOF THAT TIME FLIES

Jade, 44, is Mick Jagger’s only child with his first wife, Nicaraguan socialite/ model Bianca Jagger. We happened to own a clothing store on Sunset Strip in the early 70’s (The Garment District) and Mick and Bianca came in together. Not only was Bianca the BOSS, but she was even tighter with money than her famous husband. She demanded a discount simply because of her last name! Mick was more polite but he spent an inordinate amount of time deciding whether to buy a t-shirt in green or blue – and it only cost $20. (why not BOTH?) Now their daughter is grown up and looking like a well-to-do London matron. She DOES have a career as a jewelry designer, and she presented her new collection at Selfridges.

JAMES JAGGER: SECOND GENERATION ROCKER

James Jagger landed a sweet role in the new HBO untitled “Rock n Roll Project” – it helps when your father Mick is one of the producers. Actually the New York born James, 29, has been modeling and acting for the last 8 or 9 years so he’s not without experience. The 6’1” Jagger (his mother is Jerry Hall) was photographed on the NY set and it looks like his character is stealing a guitar.

HBO’s upcoming rock n roll series (no title yet) is already looking REALLY good. Martin Scorcese and Mick Jagger are producing and it all takes place in swinging 1970’s New York. Bobby Cannavale plays a record executive searching for the next new sound in the glam rock/disco/punk era. Olivia Wilde (above) looks gorgeous as his model wife. Other cast members include Ray Romano, Andrew Dice Clay and Jack Quaid. (Meg Ryan’s son.)

Mick Jagger’s daughter Georgia May Jagger, 22, (her mom is Jerry Hall) is one of the top models in the UK, but most people don’t give her a second glance. She’s featured on the covers of all the top fashion magazines and models for Chanel, Versace etc. At night she often parties with other hot young models, but by day she remains innocuous.

So WHAT if Mick Jagger has been seen with two different women in the past couple of weeks? Granted, his longtime girlfriend L’Wren Scott committed suicide just three months ago, but her sister has expressed outrage at the fact that Mick is going on with his life. (He was seen with a young woman in Zurich, and an Israeli model, Noa Tishby, posted the above photo, thanking Mick for a wonderful week.) The sister snidely remarked “And people wonder why L’Wren was depressed!” Fact is, L’Wren was probably depressed because her company faced bankruptcy and was six million dollars in debt. Nobody seems to agree upon whether she and Mick were still together when she died, but he took charge of the funeral. Mick is 70 – do people expect him to grieve forever? He loves the company of women – leave him alone and let him live!

We’re hearing that L’Wren Scott probably had more to fear than simply the embarrassment of shutting down her clothing business declaring bankruptcy. Fashion insiders say that a bankruptcy would invite close inspection of books and examination of financial records. EXACTLY where all the money went. Everything would be made public. Perhaps L’Wren dreaded having many details of her business practices and spending habits revealed and felt she couldn’t live it down. Maybe she had something to hide.

MICK JAGGER’S GIRLFRIEND L’WREN SCOTT: ANOTHER YOKO ONO?

Interesting how the Rolling Stones compared Mick Jagger’s girlfriend L’Wren Scott to Yoko Ono. According to Page Six, when they saw her, they whispered “Here comes Yoko!” By all accounts L’Wren, who hanged herself a few days before her business was set to close, had a lot be upset about. Mick had helped her establish the business. In their 12 years together, she had traveled on tour with Mick many times before but was not invited on this current tour. She offered to design clothes for the whole band but the rest of the guys said “No thanks” and she only designed Mick’s wardrobe. By all accounts, L’Wren did have a powerful and persuasive personality that might seem controlling – hence the comparison to Yoko. Certainly the band is sympathetic to Mick, because they postponed the Australian tour.

L’WREN SCOTT SUICIDE: HOW DOES A 6′ 3″ WOMAN HANG HERSELF FROM A DOORKNOB?

SO many questions about the tragic L’Wren Scott suicide. First of all, how and why she killed herself with an Hermes scarf and a doorknob is a huge mystery. What kind of acrobatics are involved? Why wouldn’t she just take pills? Had her boyfriend Mick Jagger broken her heart? Was she distraught over turning 50 next month? We happened to ride the Barneys elevator with L’Wren a few years ago and we remember that she was extremely tall, nicely dressed, and quiet. Her boyfriend Mick gave her notoriety and a huge career boost. Until more details emerge, this is a real mystery.

BIANCA JAGGER HAS ALWAYS BEEN A CHEAPSKATE

We were highly amused to read about Bianca Jagger resenting being called a tightwad after an incident in Austria. It seems Bianca was in Austria when she lost a ring that she said was worth $250,000, according to Page Six. A local man found and returned the ring, and expected a 5% reward, which is the LAW in Austria. Bianca immediately said she was “mistaken” about the value of the ring and it was only worth $12,500. She offered the guy $1,250 and now he is taking her to court. We’re here to say that Bianca IS a cheapskate – even more so than her exhusband Mick Jagger. Back in the 70’s, we had a clothing store on Sunset Strip frequented by rock stars and Bianca, who was married to Mick at the time, came in. She spent a lot of time picking out and trying on an armload of expensive clothes and dumped them all on the counter. When the cashier started adding up the prices she freaked and gasped “Do you know who I AM?” She expected the get the clothes FREE because she was married to Mick (who paid full price for his own stuff – more on that, another time) We explained it was a small shop and we couldn’t afford to give clothes away to anybody. When it became clear that she wasn’t getting her selections for free, she stormed out and we never saw her again. (Above, Bianca and Mick at their daughter Jade’s wedding last year))

Mick Jagger had one child that we completely forgot about. The first of Mick’s seven kids with four women was Karis Jagger, born in 1970 to Mick’s obsession at the time, Marsha Hunt. The beautiful American singer was the inspiration for Mick’s song “Brown Sugar.” Marsha saved ten love letters that Mick wrote to her during their time together around 1969 (he was 25) and they were just auctioned off at Sotheby’s in London for $300,000 to a private collector. Mick’s first daughter Karis is now 42, in the photo above she got married in Las Vegas in 2000 with both her parents present.
