Mickey Rourke can’t seem to decide if he’s more interested in the pretty woman he’s with or her adorable dog. Either way, he’s happy. If Mickey seems to be doing not much more than lounging in cafes and nightclubs lately, that perception is inaccurate. In fact, he does more than hang out – he’s got at least eight movies lined up or finished. “Iron Man 2” will probably give him a biggest payday but he’s also doing some independent features like the Indian gangster movie “Broken Horses.”

We sense that Mickey Rourke is feeling miniscule in this photo taken at a London club called Alto. Mickey arrived with this leggy blonde named Kristina around 1:30 and left two hours later. When they were walking out she tried to link arms with him but he resisted, petulantly saying that he didn’t want to be photographed that way. He walked off ahead of her. It’s amazing what a pair of seven inch platform heels will do to a man.

Sylvester Stallone is just finishing up his movie “The Expendables” which he wrote, directs, and stars in. (Consequently, you can expect many shots of his ripped torso.) Above, Mickey Rourke is tattooing Sly in a still from the movie. As we told you, the story is about a secret plot by several nations to overthrow a dangerous South American dictator. The best mercenaries from around the world are hired to do the deed and they are played by tough guys Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, and Jet Li, among others. Bruce Willis is also in the film and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is supposedly making a surprise appearance. It’s an 80’s style action extravaganza!

Mickey Rourke is still thinking about his deceased dog Loki. Not only does Mickey wear Loki’s photo around his neck, but now he has Loki’s name monogrammed on his dandyish velvet shoes. “The Wrestler” star is in London now and we’re guessing that’s where he got the custom made footwear.

Just when you start to think Mickey Rourke is beginning to look more normal – almost like his old self – he surprises you! He showed off considerable cleavage while hanging with his buddies at Cristoni Pizzeria in Beverly Hills. Actually, his pecs appear pumped to the max and we’re betting he’s taking some type of “supplements” with that Diet Coke.

Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger costar in “The Informers” but they had no scenes together and haven’t seen each other since they filmed the erotic “91/2 Weeks” together 23 years ago. At that time Kim expressed how difficult it was doing love scenes with Mickey because he smelled like an ashtray, Not long ago, Mickey got a note from Kim (after all that time) praising his performance in “The Wrestler.” He said it brought tears to his eyes. So they had a nice red carpet reunion.

We didn’t realize that Mickey Rourke is a huge star in Russia. The Russians LOVE his bad-boy, womanizing villainous image, and Mickey has started hanging out in Russian clubs and restaurants in LA where he gets loads of attention. For the past six months, Mickey has been studying Russian because he plays a Russian character in “Iron Man 2,” and now that he speaks the language, he’s even MORE popular. According to an insider, Russians treat Mickey “like Michael Jackson” – whatever that means.

It sounds like those “Dirty Dozen”/”Magnificent Seven” movies from the 60’s.

Against all odds, Mickey Rourke’s idiosyncratic style managed to start a trend – specifically the necklace he wears featuring a framed photo of his deceased dog Loki. The necklace was created by another chihuahua owner, Betina Wassermann, and she sells her $30 jewelry at flea markets round New York. (If you don’t have a pet, you can get a picture of Charles Darwin or Jimi Hendrix instead.)Her business is up about a thousand percent since Mickey wore the necklace to the Oscars. Now we hear that Mickey also saved one of Loki’s toenail clippings and carries it around to feel connected to his best friend. Will that trend catch on?
