MISCHA BARTON: HER OWN WORST ENEMY?

Apparently Mischa Barton, 34, was the LAST to know when she was fired from the second season of The Hills: New Beginnings. When the rumor leaked out that Mischa would not be returning to the series, she vehemently denied it, and was embarrassed when it turned out to be TRUE. (Her character’s story line was described as too boring) Around that time she broke up with her boyfriend of 3 years, Australian model James Abercrombie, claiming she “needed to concentrate on her career.” Weeks later she had a NEW boyfriend, photographer Gian Marco Flamini, above. Along came Covid and at least she had someone to isolate with. So much for focusing on her career. Mischa has always had more luck getting boyfriends than acting jobs.

The beautiful Mischa starred in The O.C. back in the day, and she just joined the cast of The Hills: New Beginnings- that’s why she’s at this award show, but she seems to have forgotten how to dress for a good time.

The past month has been painful for Mischa Barton. An embarrassing video of her freaking out incoherently circulated before she was hospitalized. She tried to excuse her behavior by claiming someone had slipped her GHB the night before, but nobody really believed her. It’s more likely she’s self-medicating because she has emotional problems and is estranged from her family. Today she decided to cheer herself up by taking a ride in her fabulous vintage Cadillac with white leather upholstery. Works every time.

You may remember, Jake played shoe designer Steve Madden in “The Wolf of Wall Street.” Mischa has financial problems – she’s currently suing her mother for pilfering her money while acting as her “manager.”

MISCHA BARTON SHOPS THE RON HERMAN 75% OFF SALE

Mischa Barton has supposedly been struggling with money problems and her weight, but she looks quite happy shopping at the Ron Herman 75% off sale with her little dog Ziggy. The pair stopped at Mauro’s Café where Mischa had a glass of wine and took some food home. She has a movie with the creepy title of “Hoarders” coming out this year – it’s described as “a psychological horror thriller.” We don’t know if that diet product she was selling called Proactol XS really works, but she DOES look slimmer.

MISCHA BARTON HAS TO LIVE WITH HER BAD CHOICES

Someone has been giving Mischa Barton bad advice. This pretty actress found major success and became extremely popular on “The OC” TV series from 2003 to 2006. In 2005 at the age of 19, she foolishly invested in a big Beverly Hills mansion (8 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms) for herself and her parents. (She also had apartments in New York and the UK.) In 2006 she abruptly quit “The OC” and her career has never been the same. She’s had some substance abuse problems and a “psychiatric confinement” but continued working in the UK and America. Unfortunately she appeared in B movies and straight to video horror movies. She attempted a store in London and online clothing business that seem to have disappeared. Now she owes $100,000 on her house and is threatened with foreclosure. It’s been For Sale for months without any bites. And Mischa’s still only 28! This girl needs a financial advisor.

WORST DRESSED OF THE WEEK: MISCHA BARTON

This voluminous frock is the closest thing we’ve seen to a muu muu except for that neckline, and it’s universally unflattering. If Mischa isn’t hefty, this outfit makes her LOOK like she is. To think she was in the fashion business – or maybe still is. We couldn’t find info on her shopping website OR the shop she had in London. But she’s still acting – she’s filming 7 low budget movies this year, so she can afford to buy flattering dresses.
