Donald Trump is persona non grata in Jersey City, New Jersey – at least his name is. Years ago the former president/real estate developer slapped his name on an upscale residential building which was known for years as Trump Bay Street. But thanks to his baseless election denial claims and other shenanigans, the ideally located, amenity heavy building was having a very hard time attracting renters, especially over the past two years. Like half a dozen other buildings have already done, it quietly changed its name (to 65 Bay St.) and suddenly occupancy has increased! Insiders say other Trump branded properties are following suit and ditching the Trump name for something less controversial.

KANYE WEST IS LEAVING HIS FAMOUS NAME BEHIND

Kim Kardashian knows she is much better off just being “friends” with her soon-to-be ex-husband Kanye West. His latest eccentricity involves filing documents to legally change his name from Kanye Omari West to Ye. He’s been called Ye for quite awhile as an abbreviation/nickname, so it’s familiar to all. Kanye illogically explains that Ye is the most used word in the bible and it means “all of you,” implying that “we are one.” Can’t help but wonder if Kim and the kids’ names would have been affected by this if they were still together…

BEYONCE PLAYS THE NAME GAME

Somehow the names of Beyonce and Jay-Z’s twins slipped through their veil of secrecy and turned out to be Suni and Sir. “Suni” is a Japanese name implying beauty and grace. “Sir” is a title of respect implying a high ranking gentleman – a lord or a knight. Now if the Carters named their DAUGHTER Sir, we’d be fine with that. Males don’t need titles to think they’re better than everyone else. It would be a clever turning of the tables and equalizer for the girl. But if the BOY is named Sir, we wonder why his twin wasn’t named Madam or Ma’am – the female counterpart. One thing we know- whoever got the name “Sir” is in for a lot of teasing and mocking.
