We always thought that model Naomi Campbell, 51, was an odd (and pretentious) character, and this magazine cover backs that up. British Vogue featured Naomi on their March cover with her 9 month old baby girl that NOBODY knew about! Naomi’s close friends admit that they knew she WANTED a baby, but were gobsmacked when she suddenly appeared with her little girl. In her interview inside the magazine, Naomi coyly refused to discuss where the baby came from. (She never appeared to be pregnant) She insisted the baby was not adopted – “she’s MY child!” Naomi also refused to name the biological father. We’re thinking she used a surrogate- but why is she being so weird and evasive with Vogue?

NAOMI CAMPBELL: STILL SIZZLING THE DAY AFTER

While a lot of New York celebs are nursing hangovers today, sleeping late, or racing to the airport, Naomi Campbell is up bright and early tending to business. She got a lot of attention last night at the Met Gala, not just for her glamorous attire, but also because she had a man next to her fanning her all evening. An assistant, we presume. Naomi has a checkered history with assistants. She does look fresh and fabulous today in her carwash skirt and sneakers.

Lenny “snake hips” Kravitz knows how to have a good time AND drum up business for his current European tour at the same time. He arranged his schedule so he could attend the Dior show at Men’s Fashion Week in Paris and he came with Naomi Campbell, knowing those “romance” rumors would start up again. Every time he and Naomi step out together the speculation begins, and both seem to enjoy the resulting attention. Actually they are just friends, and have been for decades.

Naomi Campbell,44, was the main attraction in the Jean Paul Gaultier show and she didn’t disappoint. Naomi has been on the catwalk for Gaultier since the 90’s and her appearance makes up for a lot of bad behavior. Tempestuous Naomi has a nasty habit of assaulting people with her cell phone or Blackberry. She’s been engaged multiple times (once to U2’s Adam Clayton!) to assorted billionaires, but she has never been married. Maybe that phone habit has something to do with it.

NAOMI CAMPBELL IS A BILLIONAIRE MAGNET

Apparently Naomi Campbell isn’t the least bit persnickety about the billionaires who take her shopping. Another of her “dear friends” is Nigerian oil billionaire Kola Aluko, who loves celebrities and is known for throwing huge sums of money around while his fellow Nigerians suffer and die in poverty. He recently purchased yet another extravagant property in Los Angeles – a Bel Air mansion priced at 29 million. He already has a 50 million dollar yacht and recently enjoyed a 1.5 million dollar bottle of champagne to the disgust of his impoverished two wives and children back in Nigeria. Naomi loves to go shopping with the generous Kola, but she won’t “date” him – not because of the wives- because he’s not all that attractive. (Click HERE to see them shopping)

Demi Moore is spending her 50th birthday in far-away places. Maybe she finally figured out there’s more to life than hanging out in Hollywood clubs with 20 year olds. She was one of the lucky celebrities invited to India for a lavish two day celebration thrown by Naomi Campbell for her billionaire boyfriend Vladimir Doronin, who also turned 50. Pampered guests arrived in chartered planes and stayed at a luxurious $1000 a night hotel. All the women were given custom designed fashions to wear to the decadent parties. Maybe turning 50 isn’t so bad, after all.

Our intrepid gossip pal, CJ from the Star Tribune, spent some quality time with famous hairdresser to the stars, Oribe, and asked him that burning question about his clients. Keep in mind that both divas have demonstrated a criminal disdain for underlings. Oribe thought for moment and decided Diana Ross is “definitely” the bigger Diva. Considering what we know about Naomi’s horrifying tantrums, it really makes one recoil at the thought of Diana’s behavior. (Could it be that wigs and weaves make women feel more powerful and aggressive?)

Blood Diamonds Charles Taylor Court Models Naomi Campbell

NAOMI CAMPBELL HAD A CHANCE TO DO THE RIGHT THING – AND DIDN’T

Naomi Campbell’s arrogance and self-interest seems to have no bounds. The gorgeous supermodel is already disliked for her petulant temper tantrums – now she’s been caught lying in court. She whined about how “inconvenient” it was because she was forced to testify at the war crimes trial of Charles Taylor, the former president of Liberia accused of atrocious war crimes. Prosecutors are trying to prove Taylor’s connection to “blood diamonds” that funded the civil war that left 100,000 dead. In 1997 Naomi was seated next to Taylor at a dinner hosted by Nelson Mandela and Taylor became smitten with the model. Later that night a pouch of diamonds was delivered to Naomi’s room. Campbell swore she didn’t know WHO sent them – and didn’t ASK the delivery people. Naomi bragged in court “ It’s not unusual for me to get gifts – I get them all the time, sometimes in the middle of the night.” Unfortunately for HER, two other people at that dinner remember things differently. Campbell’s former agent is set to testify that she heard Taylor tell Naomi that he was going to send her diamonds “and she seemed excited about it.” Another guest, Mia Farrow remembers Naomi telling her at breakfast the next day that Charles Taylor had sent her a huge diamond. The prosecution hopes their testimony will link Taylor to the diamonds in question. It certainly looks like Naomi Campbell lied under oath.
