NICK CANNON: SINGLE AND FALLING BACK INTO OLD HABITS

Nick Cannon seems a lot happier and busier since he and Mariah Carey separated. Actually his inability to say no to almost any job offer became a problem for Mariah – he was never home. Of Course Nick likes to point out that he was earning lots of money for the family – he didn’t want to feel like a kept man. He’s walking away from the marriage with a much more substantial career. One thing hasn’t gotten better – his style. He was always dressed to the max in sleek suits with Mariah, and now he’s reverted back to boyish sweats.

Concert Mariah Carey Nick Cannon Tour Wardrobe Malfunction

WE NEVER THOUGHT WE’D FEEL SORRY FOR MARIAH CAREY, BUT WE DO

If there were any doubts about Mariah Carey being in a bad place right now, they’ve disappeared since recent concert photos from China surfaced. Mariah started her Elusive Chanteuse tour in Tokyo where her performance was an embarrassment because she couldn’t hit the high notes – or any notes for that matter. Audience members wondered if she was drunk. Reviews were deplorable. The show moved on to China where her wardrobe didn’t do her any favors, to put it mildly. Mariah’s underwear was plainly visible under a too-tight miniskirt. Is it the shock of having an album flop or the shock of getting a divorce messing up her mind? NICK CANNON’S BODYGUARD MEANS BUSINESS!

A Christmas dilemma for Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey. On October 28, the children’s book they collaborated on “Roc and Roe’s Twelve Days of Christmas” starring their twins) will be released. This year will be the first holiday season in six years that the family won’t be together. Nick has assumed responsibility for promoting the book and will be making personal appearances. Of course that means he’ll be asked all sorts of personal questions about his divorce but we have a feeling Nick’s fierce bodyguard (above) will discourage nosey reporters.

Mystery Date Nick Cannon

NICK CANNON IS HAVING FUN BEING SINGLE

Nick Cannon is playing it cool but he didn’t fool the paparazzi. He arrived solo at Matsuhisa and joined former American Idol judge Randy Jackson and this attractive blonde. Randy left early and Nick stayed inside for another hour with the young woman. After dinner, Nick slipped out the private exit into a car, and a few minutes later, the mystery girl was picked up by two guys who looked like friends of Nick. Hmmm.

MARIAH CAREY TOOK THE KIDS OUT FOR PIZZA

You don’t see Mariah Carey in pizza restaurants very often, but she took her kids Monroe and Moroccan out for lunch today in New York. Maybe she’s trying to lead a more “normal” life. She avoided questions about the status of her marriage. Nick Cannon is more talkative on the subject- he was first to acknowledge that they‘ve been living apart since May. Apparently all the divorce details are being worked out very quietly and in a civil manner.

MARIAH CAREY THOUGHT SHE WANTED A SUCCESSFUL HUSBAND

Wow. It’s looking like Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon really ARE splitting up, although we still hope they’ll change their minds. We can’t help remembering back when they first got married and Mariah encouraged Nick to develop his own career so people wouldn’t call him a “kept man.” Nick got busy and made a success of himself! His job on “America’s Got Talent” opened many doors for him and he’s been raking in the bucks. He’s also been LOOKING better than ever. Meanwhile, Mariah’s not doing so well – her last album flopped. We’re betting that Mariah regrets pushing Nick to succeed on his own. He’s not there when she snaps her fingers any more. Last night the cast was photographed on the post-show red carpet at Radio City Music Hall. Heidi and Nick are stand-outs in their his and hers shiny suits. It’s nice to have something to look at BESIDES the competing talent.

There are rumbles that Nick Cannon, 33, would like his wife Mariah Carey, 45, to get a new stylist. With a little help from his friends on the set of America’s Got Talent, Nick has become a fashion icon with his colorful suits. Whenever she leaves the house, Mariah is usually clad in very low cut skin-tight gowns or super short mini-dresses. – day or night. Mariah thought it was funny when she wore a gown to play in the park with her twins, or ride the subway. But some fans thought it was ridiculous and inappropriate. Nick wants Mariah to update her wardrobe and maybe not look so overtly sexy all the time. It remains to be seen if she will welcome his advice.

HEY BIG SPENDER! MARIAH CAREY TRAVELS IN STYLE

Frankly, we were impressed to hear that Mariah Carey reserved the ENTIRE first class cabin on a British Airways flight to the Cannes Film Festival next month. (Cost: $118,000) Apparently Nick Cannon, the twins, nannies, bodyguards, assistants, and MAYBE hairdressers, stylists, makeup artists etc will be along for the ride. The British First Class cabins seem to offer a LOT of privacy with all those separate pods that turn into beds. What fun to have a whole group of friends together in one cabin for the trip! Mariah knows how to LIVE! Nick Cannon will never be able to give this up.
