Is Nicky Hilton starving for attention or for food? Dropping a lot of weight is a sure way to get photographers hot on your trail if you’re a celebrity. Photos of famous girls with real or supposed “eating disorders” are top sellers. Nicole Richie was plastered on every magazine cover when she was at her thinnest, and boney Kate Bosworth became a hot photo commodity also. Nicky was pretty much overlooked until she recently started paring off the pounds.

NICKY HILTON: KEEPING UP APPEARANCES

Nicky Hilton looked a bit schlumpy the day she was seen shopping on 3rd Street in West Hollywood. (We can only imagine how difficult is to keep up with sister Paris.) She popped into Milk and came out empty handed so she proceeded to House of Petro Zillia where she and Paris ALWAYS find something interesting. She bought a purple silk jumper, a white eyelet dress, and a few more summer frocks. The shop sells original designs with a wide range of mostly affordable prices. Nicky left with several shopping bags, looking triumphant.

We don’t know what kind of Christmas Kevin Connelly had, but we know that Nicky Hilton’s NEW boyfriend David Katzenberg had a merry one. On December 23 last minute shopper Nicky scooped up $40,000 worth of gifts at Chrome Hearts . She bought a stack of leather and sterling silver hats at $395 for friends and family. The biggest gift was for David – a customized vintage Rolex watch with a sterling silver band covered with diamonds and rubies.The face of the one-of -a- kind $25,000 Rolox features a yellow skull. Nicky is good to her boyfriends.

We have to wonder what Nicky Hilton, heiress, is on a tight budget like she was the other year.
In 2004 it looked like she was shopping for cut-rate Christmas gifts – the brunette sister has been seen frequenting the jewelry counter at Christophe in Beverly Hills where they sell fabulous fakes. Nicky loves the faux diamond jewelry actually made of crystals. “1 karat” ear studs are a bargain at $70. Most recently Nicky bought the hot and in-demand Louis Vuitton knock off earrings – gold finish hoops with a little lock and key- for only $95. The REAL thing would have set her back around $2600.00 at the Vuitton store.

Finally someone has taken the incentive to force Britney Spears to stop flashing the press! She dined at Mr Chow for her 25th birthday Saturday night and her two male companions were very fussy about how she arrived. One thoughtful dude actually HELD her knees together and forced her to climb out of the car that way. Somebody give that guy a medal – he did what none of her other “friends” had the sense to do. Paris and Nicky Hilton and Lindsay Lohan joined Brit inside where they partied in the private room. Afterward they all took off for Hyde. Two unexpected party guests turned up there-club promoter Ingrid Casares and her expartner Chris Paciello. Chris is a mafia goon who recently got out of jail after informing on his mob bosses- (shouldn’t he be in the witness protection program?) Let’s hope Britney doesn’t pick him as her new best friend.

Wentworth Miller, with his distinctive shaved head covered, popped into Larchmont Hardware to get a key copied on his way to the the Coffee Bean down the street….
Paris Hilton and her sister Nicky at Toast – Paris was chowing down on a big juicy sandwich “as if she was STARVING.” They both ate inside with sunglasses ON. Afterwards they jaywalked across the street to shop… Harry Hamlin, who flunked out of Dancing with the Stars, is keeping his boyish physique by working out with free weights at the Fitness Factory in West Hollywood… Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, dining lightly at Doug Arango’s with a tableful of family members….Halle Berry sitting in her car OUTSIDE the BAFTA Awards, waiting her turn onstage. She didn’t like the green room…..

Her exboyfriend Kevin Connolly will NOT be happy to hear that Nicky Hilton has moved ON in a big way. She’s hooked up with David Katzenberg, considered quite a catch in this town. David was steady dating Mary Kate Olsen for around a year until he had a foolish fling with Paris Hilton! THAT only lasted a few weeks. Recently David’s friendship with Nicky went a step further. Apparently Nicky does not object to her sisters sloppy seconds because she and David are now an item. They were seen on a date at the Dime this weekend where they were reportedly “nice to each other.”
