Jay-Z abruptly stopped selling his $22 “Occupy Wall Street” t-shirts from his Rocawear clothing line when he was lambasted for not donating any of the proceeds to the Wall Street protesters. His t-shirts, manufactured in Mexico, had the words “Occupy Wall Street” with red graffiti spray altering the slogan to read “Occupy all Streets” and were selling like hotcakes. He was embarrassed when it was pointed out that he was selfishly cashing in on the protest. It’s especially ironic, since Jay-Z’s net worth is said to be $1 billion which puts him in the “1 percent” club that protesters are griping about.
