Attention seeking Paris Hilton took a walk on Robertson Blvd and visited Kitson but she just didn’t get ENOUGH attention. Where were all the paparazzi? Of course, they were at the Pumpkin Patch in Beverly Hills looking for stars with their kids. Paris high-tailed it over there and seemed to be the only adult on the premises without a child. She didn’t let that stop her from smiling for the camera.

Courteney Cox is all smiles now that she’s promoting her new series, and isn’t it a SHAME that she’s not that nice all the time. When she’s not promoting some sort of enterprise, Courteney thinks nothing of snubbing fans and she’s downright hostile to photographers. She’s quite the opposite of her friend Jennifer Aniston, who seems to be pleasant and polite all the time.

We always think it’s silly when celebrities pull out their cell phones and start taking photos of paparazzi to “get even.” Laurence Fishburne was relaxing in a Beverly Hills park with his shoes off when he noticed that he was being photographed. Fishburne, who replaced William Petersen on CSI, stalked and directed his anger at one paparazzi who couldn’t help but laugh. Actually Fishburne should be flattered by the attention – he’s no Rob Pattinson, after all.

SEAN PENN MADE A HASTY DEPARTURE

Sean Penn startled paparazzi when he burst out the back door of Nobu to try and make a run to his car without being photographed. (Watch that elbow!) As much as he seems to despise photographers, we were surprised when he HIRED one to go along and shoot him while he helped rescue people during Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Sometimes these guys come in handy, don’t they? We get the feeling that Sean hates to photographed because he doesn’t want his wife Robin to know where he’s going. Posted by

Paula Abdul innocently stumbled out of her car in a Beverly Hills garage and was not at all surprised when paparazzi started snapping her furiously. (We’re betting that secretly she kind of likes it.) Anyway, some guy walking by decided to show off and made a big deal out of pretending to “protect” Paula from the paps but just ended up manhandling her and messing up her hair and clothes. How presumptuous! Paula was polite, but clearly, she was NOT amused.

Here’s a rare photo of Los Angeles billboard queen Angelyne, and we’ll tell you why it’s rare. Because Angelyne refuses to pose for photos unless a Polaroid camera is used! She thinks polaroids are more flattering but, of course, nobody has Polaroid cameras anymore, so Angelyne won’t cooperate with photographers. LET'S FACE IT: MICHAEL JACKSON ENJOYS ATTENTION

If there’s one person who loves publicity as much as Michael Jackson, it’s Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier. (The difference between them is Michael doesn’t have to put up billboards of himself all over LA, the way Christian does.) Anyway, it’s natural that they’d join forces and Christian took frail looking Michael shopping on Rodeo Drive for maximum exposure. They popped in and out of Dior and Dolce & Gabbana, and could barely conceal their delight when paparazzi caught them in the act. Michael’s kids will probably get a big shipment of Ed Hardy stuff next week.

Bruce Willis was in a good mood while shopping at Whole Foods with an attractive companion. He walked out with three bags of groceries and as he was loading them in his trunk he turned to the photographer and tossed him a bottle of juice. He’s mellowed, and probably appreciates the fact that anybody still wants his picture.

It appears that Shia LaBeouf thinks the photogs won’t recognize him with a bag on his head. He lost his license after his accident so he can’t drive his well known car either. But he FORGOT that he is easily recognized because of the bandaged hand which he has wrapped in a plastic bag. That’s the dead give-away.

Brad Garrett has been the talk of the town since he had his altercation with a photographer outside Dan Tana’s. When we saw this photo of Brad leaving the restaurant right before the fight, we started to wonder…could this have anything to do with his new reality show “Dating Brad Garrett” on something called the Crackle Network? The 6′8″ actor is supposed to date ten girls on the show, seeking the perfect date. Just maybe, this petite and VERY young looking girl is part of that show. Was it all a publicity stunt?

Why does Hollywood’s most overexposed couple look so GLUM in this photo? Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt did some actual shopping in Gelson’s in Pacific Palisades – without benefit of hair and makeup and stylists like their set-up photo ops. There was no cutesy pie smooching or whispering or giggling – they walked around the store like robots who barely knew each other. When they noticed a freelance paparazzi shooting them – and is WASN’T their personal photog- they were NOT happy. They had the manager help them out to their car and not-so-chivalrous Spencer let Heidi push the cart. They were both annoyed because they won’t get paid for THIS set of photos. That’s why we posted this!

Renee Zellweger was genuinely surprised by a mob oa paparazzi when she was filming Chilled in Miami this week in Marina del Rey. She’s not often in LA so they were eager to shoot her. Renee went up on the roof deck of the location and allowed them to take pictures. She laughingly exclaimed to her coworkers “Why the hell do they care about ME? I haven’t killed someone while driving drunk, I’m not dating anyone, and I’m not pregnant!” But you ARE a movie star, Renee!

Keanu Reeves was completely taken by surprise yesterday when he had lunch at Orso with a blonde woman. According to a witness, Keanu was on the phone for much of their time together, but between calls he chatted animatedly with his companion. It was a friendly meal, not romantic. When he stood up, Keanu was startled to see a camera focused on him.

Times certainly ARE changing. First of all, did you EVER think you’d see Paris Hilton eating at the Hamburger Hamlet? The Hamlet has always been a mecca for families and grandparents. Dependable, but not exactly trendy. She and Benji arrived without fanfare and there were only one or two paparazzi around. And get this, Paris did NOT stop and pose like she always does! Just a few years ago, Paris was trailed by dozens of photographers at all times and she reveled in it. Both sides now seem to be losing interest.

We got the inside word on what Nick Cannon was REALLY doing in the Hello Kitty store. He wasn’t shopping for his new bride Mariah. Actually he ducked in there to avoid paparazzi that were following him. He wanted to throw them off the track and get rid of them before he left for his and Mariah’s wedding party at Magic Mountain. Nick had already sold all the media rights to ET and he didn’t want any maverick snappers to spoil the lucrative deal. We love TMZ’s revelation that Nick and Mariah were chauffeured around the park in a pink golf cart- accompanied by her hairstylist and makeup person.

Chris Martin was his usual unsociable self when he and Gwyneth arrived at LAX after an overseas flight this week. The paparazzi followed them through customs and he became more and more irritable. Finally one malevolent photographer sneered to the uncooperative Coldplay singer “Hey Chris, how does it feel getting Brad’s sloppy seconds?” (Referring to the fact that Gwyneth dated Brad Pitt before she married Chris) Chris LUNGED at the guy and security had to grab him to keep him from throttling the rude snapper. Chris ought to learn to ignore these comments – a violent reaction provides better photos.

Miley Cyrus (pictured here with mom Tish) is lucky to have great parents. Not many kid performers are as fortunate as she is. Last Wednesday Miley was leaving her recording studio with her dad Billy Ray and an aggressive group of photographers ran up, pushing their big cameras at her face. Two of them started arguing and yelling profanities at each other. Miley looked startled and her dad hustled her into the car. He came back and pulled the photographers aside and quietly told them “Don’t get so close with those cameras and NO CURSING- Miley’s not used to that kind of language – she’s home-schooled.” The snappers really like Billy Ray because he’s always nice to them, so they adjusted their behavior.

These incredibly corny photo set-ups that Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag arrange, continue to be a significant source of income. SOMEBODY is actually buying them! On Valentines day they “shared” their tender moments when Spencer gave Heidi a pair of platform shoes as a gift (?) and they smooched on a yacht. Seriously, these arranged photo-ops pull in an average of $10,000 a week for the couple to split! (Spencer used to take ALL the money until Heidi found out they were getting paid.) Nauseating, isn’t it?

Britney Spears must be sensing there’s a “new girl in town” because she has fewer photographers following her – they’re after Lindsay Lohan now. And Lindsay is EATING IT UP. In fact, it looks like she’s arranging photo ops and splitting the money with photographers when photos are sold. We believe this because she had a car drop her at the front door of Fred Segal in Santa Monica and she paused in the doorway while photogs snapped her. She pretended to browse the counter up front and when all angles had been shot, she walked out the side door and jumped into her waiting car and driver. No shopping at all!
