PATRICK SWAYZE: THE TIME OF HIS LIFE
Filed Under: Patrick Swayze > Thanks for the Memories > The Beast

This is how we want to remember Patrick Swayze, who died today at 57 from pancreatic cancer. In 1987 he starred in the ultimate summer romance movie “Dirty Dancing” and millions of females fell madly in love with him. Good girls are always attracted to bad boys, especially if they can dance. Masculine Patrick also inspired guys – he made it OK for macho men to dance. (Without Patrick there would be no Channing Tatum.) Patrick was a gentleman and well liked in Hollywood. His wife of 34 years, Lisa Niemi, was with him to the end.

PATRICK SWAYZE IS STILL ALIVE AND KICKING
Filed Under: Cancer > Oops! > Patrick Swayze > Rumors
It's apparent that Patrick Swayze takes all those inaccurate and exaggerated media reports about his declining health to heart, and that’s painful to imagine. Early last year when The Enquirer reported he had “weeks to live,” Patrick went out of his way to prove them wrong. Yesterday a Florida radio station (both stations under suspicion, deny it) started the rumor that Patrick had died and it was picked up on Twitter. Even Wikipedia reportedly amended Patrick’s page temporarily. Swayze was so incensed he released this recent photo with his wife, indicating he is not bedridden, as assumed. It’s a dilemma – ill celebrities DO deserve some privacy, but they ARE famous, and fans and gossip readers continue to devour photos and information about them.Posted by Janet on May 21, 2009
PATRICK SWAYZE IS SWELTERING IN CHICAGO AND COULDN'T BE HAPPIER
Filed Under: Chicago > Patrick Swayze > The Beast

We're thrilled to see Patrick Swayze hard at work on his new series “The Beast” in Chicago. It looks like they’re filming at an El Train station. He’s put on twenty pounds in the past weeks, but he’s still been able to go out to Chicago cafes and restaurants with his wife Lisa, without being recognized.

AGAINST ALL ODDS, PATRICK SWAYZE WILL BE FILMING THIS SUMMER IN CHICAGO
Filed Under: Patrick Swayze

It’s mind-boggling, but it seems that pancreatic cancer stricken Patrick Swayze is going back to work. Whatever they’ve been doing at Stanford University Medical Center has been working for Swayze, and he can’t wait to get busy. The A&E network was happy with his pilot for “The Beast” in which he plays a rogue FBI agent, and after consideration, they agreed to film 13 episodes this summer in Chicago. We’re astonished because insurance for the star of a show is always a huge issue. How did they work THAT out? We’re happy for Patrick and hope for the best. Hot and humid Chicago is not a great place to be in the summer.

IT'S TRUE: PATRICK SWAYZE HAS PANCREATIC CANCER AND WEEKS TO LIVE
Filed Under: Pancreatic Cancer > Patrick Swayze

We can just imagine the hearts breaking everywhere since the news about Patrick Swayze’s pancreatic cancer leaked out. It’s terribly sad. This actor starred in two of the most romantic movies in Hollywood history- Dirty Dancing and Ghost. According the Enquirer, Patrick, 55, was diagnosed in January and has been treated at the Stanford Cancer Center, but the cancer has spread and they gave him only six weeks to live. Sadly, he had just filmed a pilot for A&E that might have turned into a series for him. Don’t doubt this tragic story because the Enquirer had the scoop- they are simply never wrong about medical stories. This is a real tragedy.

PATRICK SWAYZE: OH SAY, CAN YOU SEE?

Here’s a Hollywood face we haven’t seen on the club scene in quite awhile: it’s Patrick Swayze at Teddy’s. Not a great place for someone with a history of alcohol problems, but who are we to judge? Many people claim Patrick has had lots of plastic surgery, but we’re not so sure. We think he looks pretty good. Except for those drugstore reading glasses hooked on his t-shirt.
