The “Godmother of Punk,” Patti Smith, just had lunch at Da Silvano’s in New York. It was way back in 1976 that she first appeared on Saturday Night Live and nothing was the same after that. She was a punk goddess who retired to Detroit for years to raise a family and after her husband died she started performing again. She retains her spirit and style.

The literary magazine Atlantic Monthly had their 150th anniversary party in New York this week and the crowd was eclectic. 70’s female punk icon Patti Smith entertained.
