It's not uncommon to see celebrities shopping at our local Bristol Farms market, but we still get a thrill at the idea of BEATLE, Paul McCartney, shopping where we do. He and his girlfriend Nancy Shevell and Paul’s daughter Beatrice nonchalantly picked up a few things at the store. It’s nice to see Paul spending time with his beloved Beatrice – knowing his ex-wife, it’s probably costing him dearly.

Paul McCartney takes liberties when it comes to parking in LA. Not only did he parallel park his black sportscar backwards, facing traffic, but it was a red zone! He stopped to run an errand in West Hollywood and paparazzi poked fun at his “UK parking.” Paul didn’t get a ticket, but he jokingly warned photographers that if they followed him, they’d better drive safely. McCartney is in town for George Harrison’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony yesterday.

PAUL MCCARTNEY LEAVES PEOPLE ACROSS THE USA DOING DOUBLE-TAKES

Paul McCartney’s trek across the USA on Route 66 caused pockets of chaos in some of the places where he stopped. For example, Paul and his girlfriend Nancy Shevell pulled into the Circle K gas station in Springfield, Missouri, in their 1989 Ford Bronco the first week of August, and no one paid attention. But when Paul got out to use the men’s room, one of a car full of young local guys on their way to St Louis for a Cardinal game, gasped “That looks like Paul McCartney!” He yelled “Hey, Paul!” and Paul answered in his distinctive accent. The excited guys chatted with Paul and he posed for the above photo with them. The State Journal_Register published the picture and it started a major uproar. The paper was inundated by readers insisting it was a hoax and the picture was photoshopped. They couldn’t believe Paul was in their town, much less driving a Bronco! It was the subject of much speculation for days. We can imagine this scene repeating itself in many of the small towns Paul visited.

Paul McCartney is currently fulfilling a lifelong dream of driving across the United States on the old Route 66 and he’s taking a month to do it. Paul and his girlfriend Nancy Shevell left the Hamptons and plan to drive to Santa Monica in their Ford Bronco truck. They picked up Rte 66 in Illinois and will take it all the way across seven states. Instead of heading for fancy hotels, the couple plan to camp out and do a lot of sight-seeing like ordinary tourists. In the picture above he’s taking a photo of Nancy in New Mexico. How fun would it be to have Paul walk into your diner in the middle of nowhere?

Rosanna Arquette and a friend had lunch at The Ivy this week and she’s looking cute. We wonder if she’ll see Paul McCartneyr again now that he’s officially back in circulation. They had a bunch of dates last fall and she visited him in London. Of course, he’s also been dating New Yorker Nancy Shevell. Paul is the oldest guy Rosanna’s ever gone out with, but she’s always had a weakness for rockstars. We’ll see what happens when Paul returns to LA.

He seemed quite taken by Rosanna in the months before he finalized his divorce. He flew her to London and they were seen at various restaurants and events. She’s always been attracted to rockstars, but maybe she felt he was a bit too old for her. He seems to be keeping steady company with a woman in New York so maybe it’s over. Or maybe not.

Don’t know about you, but if we never saw Heather Mills’ whiney face again, we’d live happily ever after. Her exhausting divorce from Paul McCartney netted her 48.6 million and she’s STILL not happy. Her unpleasant behavior and endless nasal complaining during the divorce proceedings made her an unpopular person, to say the least. So WHY did somebody already hire her to be a judge at the Miss USA Pageant in Las Vegas? She’s no beauty expert and we’d rather the job went to an American. Our only consolation is the fact that beauty pageants are so tacky and antiquated – they’re not much to brag about.

Here’s a McCartney you don’t see very often. It’s Paul’s lookalike son James – he looks a lot like his dad except for the red hair (and the quantity of hair.) He’s a guitarist/drummer and he’s currently working on an album with his father. James,30, is rarely seen in public but he turned up at a Christmas party at his sister Stella’s shop in London.

You read it HERE first! It took him long enough, but Paul McCartney has finally been spotted in London hooking up with his longtime crush Rosanna Arquette! Back in August our readers learned about Paul’s crush on the Desperately Seeking Susan actress. She was seen at his Amoeba record store appearance in LA but they kept their budding relationship a big secret. In the past few months, Paul has been distracted by his divorce from Heather Mills- he spent most of his time in the UK and New York, and put the romance on the back burner. He saw a few other women, but he never forgot about Rosanna, and they quietly stayed in touch. Recently Rosanna had business in London and she and Paul had two dates in 24 hours. She extended her visit and she’s still there keeping company with her Beatle. Lookswise, Rosanna IS kind of the same type as Heather – a willowy off-beat blonde.

Drum roll. Heather Mills, whose divorce from Paul McCartney is STILL not final, has decided who she’d like to have play her in a bigscreen biography: Reese Witherspoon. At first Heather toyed with the idea of Heather Locklear, but she decided a serious actress like Reese is more appropriate. Heather is in talks with a Hollywood screenwriter about turning her life story into a movie and it will certainly include private not- so- pleasant situations with her estranged husband Paul. To say that she’s using this upcoming movie to pressure Paul into a quick settlement is probably an understatement. If she gets enough money, we’re sure the scenes with Paul will be more flattering – or maybe there won’t be a movie at all.
