CALISTA FLOCKHART HAS NO FEAR OF FLYING WITH HARRISON FORD

Pilot Harrison Ford has had more than his share of flight problems – close calls, near-misses, and crash landings, but his wife Calista Flockhart still has total faith in his flying. Ford, 78, often flies himself and his wife, plus their dogs, back and forth to their Wyoming home. He flew her relatives in for the holidays, and flew Calista’s son Liam to college in Massachusetts. He’s also gearing up to start filming Indiana Jones 5, reprising his role as the daredevil archeologist, and will certainly fly himself to and from the set. Disney optimistically set a July 2022 release date for the film.

HARRISON FORD LOVES TO FLY AND IGNORES HIS OWN CARBON FOOTPRINT

It’s amazing that Harrison Ford is an activist and advocate for reducing carbon footprints, yet he continues to fly his own private planes. Ford lectures about climate change, but his own carbon footprint is considerable since he flies so often. (Private planes produce MUCH more carbon per passenger than commercial flights.) Certainly his wife Calista Flockhart will be somewhat relieved if Ford, 78, ever gives up flying. He’s had a number of close calls and a few years ago was forced to crash land his vintage plane on a golf course. Ford just flew back from Amherst College where he picked up his son Liam, 19, for Thanksgiving break.

JOHN TRAVOLTA WHEN HE WAS FIFTEEN YEARS OLD

John Travolta must be sorting through his old photos during isolation and he posted this one on Instagram. (He’s in the light blue shirt) He wrote that when he was fifteen his school offered an aviation class which inspired his “second career.” (five girls and only two boys?) Travolta collects jets like other celebrities collect sports cars. He was even named an honorary Quantas pilot at one time. John still flies frequently and last we heard he had a private “airport” with two runways at his Clearwater Florida home near the Scientology center.

JOHN TRAVOLTA HAS A PENCHANT FOR “MARLBORO MEN”

John Travolta’s problems are never over. His former boyfriend, Doug Gotterba, who worked as his pilot for six years, is following through with his plan to write a tell-all about their time together and he’s already slipping secrets to The National Enquirer. Apparently he couldn’t be talked out of it! John hired Doug in 1981 and they traveled the world together – with connecting hotel rooms – and no one ever suspected! Doug described Travolta as having a huge sexual appetite and he even wanted all-male threesomes. The pilot knew that John saw other men and described his preference as “macho men with mustaches and Levi’s.” Doug feels sorry for John’s wife Kelly Preston, but we suspect they have some kind of agreement.

JOHN TRAVOLTA TRIED TO ARRANGE A CAREER COMEBACK FOR KELLY PRESTON

John Travolta has been trying to make it up to his wife Kelly Preston after she was embarrassed by all those masseur sex charges against him last summer. She’s been upset about her lagging career, so John found a Scientologist who would write a pilot for her to star in. A lot of money was spent to put together “Keep Calm and Karey On,” and half the people involved in filming the pilot were Scientologists. The OTHER half – non-scientologists- were reportedly uncomfortable on the set and felt the pressure and influence of Scientology.- especially when John paid a surprise visit. After all that, ABC didn’t pick up the show, so now John is back in the doghouse with Kelly.

TELL-ALL: MY GAY ROMANCE WITH JOHN TRAVOLTA

#johntravolta #scientology #janetcharlton

The John Travolta saga continues. Last week The Enquirer revealed that John had a six year affair with his pilot Doug Gotterba in the 1980’s and the pilot avoided commenting. Now Gotterba has changed his tune to put it mildly, and he has plans to write a tell-all book about his romance with Travolta. We can already picture the Scientologists rushing to offer the pilot money NOT to write the book. Either way, Gotterba will profit nicely from the relationship. And why shouldn’t he? Masseurs and hotel workers continue to come forward with accusations against John who has been amazingly indiscreet though the years.

JUST WHEN JOHN TRAVOLTA THOUGHT HE WAS OFF THE HOOK…

#johntravolta #gay #janetcharlton

We just KNEW the John Travolta gay expose was not over. This week’s National Enquirer has an interview with a former employee of John’s who was his secretary from 1978 to 1994, and she knew he was gay and it never bothered her. She also says she was aware of Travolta’s 6 year sexual relationship with his pilot Doug Gotterba in the 1980’s. Gotterba wouldn’t talk about it, but a later boyfriend of his DID reveal details about the gay relationship. The Enquirer also mentions that 16 year old Brooke Shields was once set up on a date with John to make him look straight. John’s lawyer must be delighted to see more hours of litigation ahead! (Photo above, John is kissing his “manny” Jeff Kathrein, who took such good care of his son Jett)

SULLY HAILED BY HOMETOWN – WHO SHOULD STAR IN THE MOVIE?

We almost wish we could have been in Danville, California, for the hero’s welcome they threw for pilot “Sully” Sullenberger. Thousands of people gathered to hail him a hometown hero in an outdoor ceremony featuring brass bands and bagpipes. (We couldn’t help but picture an oldtime Frank Capra / James Stewart movie set in the midwest.) Sullenberger, who seems to be a modest man of few words, asked town leaders to keep the event low-key, but he was overwhelmed when he saw the assembled crowd. His wife was in tears. Danville residents held up flags and signs and cheered throughout the event. What a movie this story will make! Maybe Matthew Modine could play Sully – or Tom Hanks. Who would you cast? (No, John Waters would NOT be appropriate!)

SULLY WAS IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME

US Airways pilot Chesley Sullenberger, 57, from Danville, California, who managed to pull off the FIRST EVER emergency water landing of a commercial airline with no casualties. 155 people are alive because of him. THAT is quite an accomplishment and this is an American hero who was prepared for the challenge. He’s educated – with TWO masters degrees, he’s a safety expert, and he’s had around 40 years of flying experience. He’s exactly the guy that many women would like to meet on match.com, but he already has a wife Lori and kids. He renews our faith in the American male! We can hardly wait for the inevitable Barbara Walters interview.
