RIHANNA IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT

Uh -oh. We were afraid this might happen. It looks like Rihanna’s “celebration of pregnancy” look has caught on. When Rihanna was expecting she started wearing VERY skimpy outfits that exposed and played up her expanding midsection. Many times the get-ups were TOO skimpy and in questionable taste- especially for occasions like elegant restaurants. This IS a red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, but Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima sorely lacks elegance and looks more like a belly dancer than a supermodel here. Using Rihanna as a role model is not always a good idea. This look will be hard to forget…

JENNIFER ANISTON IS A VICTIM OF HER OWN POPULARITY

Jennifer Aniston gets an A+ for her essay on Huffington Post protesting the media’s torment of her and other female celebrities. Tabloids DO deserve a good scolding for torturing her ever since Friends made her a star. Having written for tabloids, we witnessed first hand just how NICE she’s always been to her fans and even the paparazzi. Unfortunately AND fortunately for her, Jennifer happens to be one of the most popular stars of all time and most in demand for magazine covers. (She SELLS!) So when there’s a shortage of news, reporters make up silly non-litigious stories about her personal life (“Jen wants Brad back”, “Jen wants a baby.”) They hurt her but don’t damage her career. We agree with her about the fake pregnancy stories – they’re nasty and mean-spirited, but they exist because Jennifer is just too damn popular. Jennifer’s essay won’t change the media, but hopefully it will educate readers and fans.

According to MediaTakeOut, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are expecting twins, thanks to fertilization treatments. The source says Lamar bragged to his family and SOMEONE leaked the top secret info. The source feels they wanted to keep it a secret so it wouldn’t overshadow Kim’s absurdly overpublicized upcoming marriage, so they planned to withhold the info for two months. We’re skeptical, because if Lamar REALLY wanted to keep it a secret, he wouldn’t tell his chatty relatives. Or maybe he WANTED the news to leak out…The source insists they will deny the truth until after the wedding. We shall wait and watch Khloe’s tummy.

Let’s face it, women don’t shop in maternity stores unless they’re expecting a baby. Mariah Carey continues to dance around baby questions, but her clothing is doing the talking. The Daily Mail uncovered the fact that she is wearing a brown $140 maxi dress from the maternity shop “a pea in the pod.” Women who AREN’T expecting don’t shop at this store (with the possible exception of Kirstie Alley.) We’re betting she’ll be photographed in other dresses from the same outlet. This seals it for us- Mariah is definitely expecting and we’re happy for her.

Now that she’s pregnant, MAYBE Amy Adams will find time to marry her boyfriend of seven years, actor/artist Darren Le Gallo. They’ve been engaged for over a year and planned to marry in 2009, but Amy’s been so busy working on movies that she kept postponing the big event. Actually, Darren is the one who’s been pushing to tie the knot sooner rather than later. We’re guessing that “Julie & Julia” star Amy, 35, will prioritize the wedding now that she’s expecting.
