We thought Lady Gaga cleaned up on New Year’s Eve, pulling in $300,000 for her Fontainebleau show in Miami, but that’s not the case. Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich paid 1.7 million dollars for entertainment at HIS New Year’s bash in St Barts – Beyonce, Gwen Stefani, and Prince, each raked in over a half million dollars to perform for 250 guests at Abramovich’s 90 million dollar St Barts estate. The whole party cost FIVE million dollars. According to the NY Post, this is the same guy who ran up a tab of over $47,000 for ten people for a meal at a New York restaurant.

Sometimes the audience at a fashion show is as compelling as the show itself. These front row A-listers at the John Galliano show in Paris are mesmerized by the extravagant fashions. Glammed up Katy Perry and Russell Brand are holding hands and look quite cozy. Prince’s red satin shoes are eye-catching but no competition for the shoes Galliano presented. This must be the year of The Outrageous Shoe.

We have to admit we’re a bit disappointed in Prince’s look in Paris for fashion week. He says he designed this outfit but it doesn’t look new or fashion forward – it’s more of an unintentional 80’s look. The shoulders lack definition and we’re tired of those same flared pants over high heels. How about some harem pants or skinny pants? Maybe Prince is seeing the shows so he can pick up ideas for his own wardrobe.

Michael Jackson spent two hours rehearsing at a studio today and when he and his two oldest children, Paris and Prince, walked out to the parking lot, the kids suddenly realized they had forgotten their masks and ran back to get them. The fact that Prince is at rehearsal makes one wonder if the rumor that he will sing and dance with Michael’s in the concert is true. It’s odd that Michael is under an umbrella while the kids are out in the rain.

It's been 12 years since Michael Jackson did his last concert run and the countdown has started that hopefully will lead up to his July opening of fifty sold out shows in the UK. According to the LA Times, The concert promoter, AEG Live says the production budget is way over 20 million, and it’s promising to be “the biggest and most technologically advanced show ever mounted.” Michaal’s been rehearsing four days a week for six hours a day with choreographer Kenny (“Dirty Dancing“) Ortega and he says he’s developing a secret new move that will be as distinctive as his moonwalk. One of the more enticing rumors about the show is that Jackson will do a duet with his oldest son Prince Michael.

Prince turned up in the front row of a Lakers game (who knew he liked sports?) and he’s with an exotic and glamorous woman. She kept her eyes focused on HIM rather than the court action, and we wonder who she is.

Prince got all dolled up in flare bottom leggings and a rhinestone cane to see The Pussycat Dolls perform at The Viper Room. Why do we think he looks like an eccentric blind man? Anyway, something went wrong and he left in his black Cadillac after only a few minutes. We’re guessing that he had a particular doll he wanted to see, and she was not in THAT performing group. (There are several Pussycat Doll groups out there.) Eventually he’ll find her.

PRINCE WON'T VOTE AGAINST GAY RIGHTS

There’s no need for Prince to backtrack on his recent comments to the New Yorker that implied he was against gay marriage. It seems that in recent years, Prince has become a fervent Jehovah’s Witness (like Michael Jackson used to be.) Consequently his views on social issues have become quite conservative, in contrast to his own highly liberated history. Personal opinions notwithstanding, the upside of this religious dilemma is the fact that Jehovah’s Witnesses DON’T VOTE! Prince and his ilk want nothing to do with politics and they remain neutral. That’s what the bible tells them to do. So in their own way, they separate church and state, and that’s fine with us.

Prince loves to organize talented girls into musical groups – especially beautiful ones. He has a new project he’s involved in called “Honey Collective” and it’s a bunch of music oriented women – DJ’s, musicians, dancers, etc and they all have something in common – they love HIS music. He’s made up some awfully strict RULES for these adoring HC girls. They are supposedly required to take a lie detector test and promise that:
1, they have been celibate for three years (?)
2, they are free of all contracts
3, they truly LOVE funk music
Rumor is that Prince is more than friends with HC founder DJ Rashida. You can catch Prince and any number of these performing femmes at Goa on Tuesday nights. Prince will be wearing yellow and black because he calls himself the HC “mascot.”

Prince debuted some new footwear during his performance at Coachella. Usually he wears pointy high heel boots that he has custom made in a color to match every outfit. His new look is a more comfortable round toe platform boot with what appears to be a high lucite wedge. It still gives him that much needed extra four or five inches of height.
