Renee Zellweger has a surprise for her rabid Bridget Jones fans when she films the fourth segment of the popular movie franchise. Renee is heading to London to begin production, and not only is her boyfriend Ant Anstead accompanying her to the location, but he’s APPEARING in the movie as a love interest! It’s perfect casting since Ant is from England and obviously has off the charts chemistry with Renee. For now Renee and Ant are planning to keep his appearance a surprise, but both are hoping it’s the launching pad for Ant’s aspiring career as an actor.

Renee Zellweger’s romance with Ant Anstead is still going strong, but there’s one thing about him she’s trying to change -his wardrobe. THE THING ABOUT RENEE…

At first glance this could be some celebrity’s assistant schlepping Starbucks coffee back to her boss and his friends, but it is actually a major movie star doing the schlepping. The unpretentious Renee Zellweger doesn’t mind running errands herself – she’s in New York promoting her new NBC true crime series The Thing About Pam. We were astonished by her transformation into the leading character who is much larger than Renee. Renee did NOT gain weight for the part – her look was all done with prosthetics, and it’s quite amazing. In real life Renee is still living in Laguna Beach and walking dogs with her boyfriend Ant Anstead.

RENEE ZELLWEGER HAS A LOCK ON THAT OSCAR

Renee Zellweger was in Paris this week at the premier of her film Judy, but of course she’ll be back in time for Oscar parties. Everyone seems to agree that she will take home the Best Actress Oscar, so it’s rather discouraging for the other nominees. We were not crazy about the Judy movie, and although Renee was excellent, we thought Charlize Theron was equally amazing in Bombshell. RENEE ZELLWEGER: DON’T FORGET ABOUT LORNA LUFT!

Renee Zellweger, 48, (Chicago) has been obsessively researching Judy Garland as she prepares to start filming Judy in February. The movie covers the time period in winter of 1968, when 47 year old Judy was preparing for her final concerts in London. She was at a low point in her career- her TV series was cancelled, her Australian tour was a disaster due to lateness and impairment, and Judy lost her role in the film Valley of the Dolls to Susan Hayward because she didn’t show up for rehearsals. The London concert series was a big deal, but Judy was not up for it. The movie deals with her relationships – both good and bad- at the time. Hopefully Renee will have a long chat with Lorna Luft, Judy’s younger daughter, who wrote in great detail about that time period in her fascinating book Me and My Shadows.
