Ha Ha, Sorry, just kidding about the date. Do we really need an excuse to publish a gorgeous Bruce Weber photo of Rob Pattinson? The December issue of Vanity Fair is high on our list of must-haves because it’s ALL ABOUT ROB. If he’s not the new James Dean, we don’t know who is. He’s got that pigment.

We felt a twinge of regret when Rob Pattinson left Los Angeles on Halloween- only days after he arrived from Canada. We secretly hoped he’d stick around for awhile and we’d bump into him somewhere. (Anything can happen in this town.) Now that possibility is shattered since he he’s flown away to start publicizing his “New Moon” movie. Sigh.

There is simply NO WAY the Teen Choice Awards could go on the air without Rob Pattinson in attendance. The Jonas Brothers, who are hosting, will have to step aside when the Twilight people take over the stage. We’re betting Rob and his group (but mostly Rob) will take home major awards on Monday, August 10. He arrived at LAX yesterday, carrying his own luggage. Hmmm. That means he’ll be in LA all weekend…..

How adorable is Rob Pattinson, looking down and out, in this photo from the last days of shooting on the set of “Remember Me?” He’s not really suffering, he’s just ACTING, but don’t you just want to take him home? Meanwhile, San Diego is bracing itself for Rob’s visit to Comic-Con on Thursday, July 23, where he’s promoting “New Moon.” The convention sold out as SOON as he confirmed his appearance. We’ve seen a lot of photos of Rob Pattinson on the “Remember Me” set and some of Emilie de Ravin, but very few of their characters together. They play a couple having some kind of serious problems and this scene was shot on a stoop in Brooklyn Heights. It might be a really sad movie because it’s been compared to “Love Story,” the 1970 heartbreaking romance with Ali MacGraw and Ryan O’Neal.

Legions of Rob Pattinson’s fans might not be thrilled to learn that Australian actress Emilie de Ravin, his pretty love interest in the currently filming “Remember Me,” is suddenly available. No sooner did Emilie start the movie than news of her divorce became known. Emilie and her husband of three years, actor Josh Janowicz, split up and she is now living in Los Angeles with her dog. Whether her love scenes with Rob will carry over into real life, remains to be seen.

Rob Pattinson is drawing crowds in the West Village and it’s easy to see why. He’s looking really handsome as a non-vampire in “Remember Me,” which he’s filming on location in New York for the next few months. It’s going to be an interesting summer in the city.

Rob Pattinson is trying to slip into his New York hotel without being noticed – FAT CHANCE of that happening. He’s just TOO photogenic. We had assumed the “Twilight” star was returning to Italy when he left town after the MTV Movie Awards, so it’s nice to know he’s still around.
