THE TRAGEDY OF WOODY ALLEN

Every time we see a photo of 85 year old Woody Allen, it makes us sad. The documentary Allen v Farrow seemed to seal his fate and we’re not entirely sure it was fair. This is a man who LIVED to make movies. And for the most part, we really enjoyed them. We are still not sure he was guilty of inappropriately touching his adopted daughter Dylan, when she was 7. Certainly Mia Farrow was highly motivated to enhance this claim. It’s strange that when this story surfaced, NO OTHER people came forward with similar claims against Woody. A child molester who does it only once is rare indeed. So far, Woody has not been given the opportunities to make films in Europe that Roman Polanski enjoys- and Polanski admitted he had sex with a 13 year old. Such a sad situation…

ROMAN POLANSKI IN HIS UNDERPANTS

Roman Polanski may be 83, but that doesn’t stop him from sunbathing at the Eden Roc Hotel in Cannes in his underwear. The Film Festival is as close as Polanski can get to Hollywood – he’s been unable to return to the US since he was arrested for sexually assaulting a 13 year old girl in 1977. (And he’s NOT happy about it.) At that time he fled to France to avoid prison time but he had no idea he’s never be able to return because he figured, as a successful filmmaker, he was above the law. He still avoids countries likely to extradite him to the US. No great loss for us – his best work was Rosemary’s Baby in 1968.

ROMAN POLANSKI’S 13 YEAR OLD RAPE VICTIM HAS DECIDED TO TELL ALL


The 13 year old girl that Roman Polanski raped in 1977 is now 50, and she is telling HER side of the story. The cover photo of Samantha >Geimer was taken three weeks before the rape by Polanski himself. She doesn’t look like the Lolita that Polanski’s friends have always made her out to be. It will be interesting to read her recollections of that day at Jack Nicholsen’s house when Polanski plied the young teen with alcohol and Quaaludes, convinced her to disrobe, and ultimately raped her. Through the years as Polanski evaded prosecution by moving to Europe, Geimer has avoided the limelight and played DOWN the incident. She wanted to forget about it. She never seemed to realize that this was an appalling crime, so we can’t wait to read the book

ROMAN POLANSKI HAS A REAL PROBLEM WITH WOMEN

As if Roman Polanski weren’t revolting enough – he is now in Cannes declaring that equality for women is “purely idiotic.” He goes on to say that the birth control pill “masculinizes women and chases away romance.”(THIS from a man who admitted to having unlawful sex with a 13 year old minor!) Like some old curmudgeon he smugly implies that men won’t open doors or buy flowers for women who are equal. As if equal pay and rights have ANYTHING to do with romance or manners! (Above, Polanski, 79, and his wife Emmanuelle Seigner, 46, who towers above him, in spite of his shoe lifts.)

Can’t imagine why it took so long, but the woman who was raped by the loathsome Roman Polanski in 1977 when she was 13 has signed a deal to write a book about the appalling story. Samantha Geimer has publicly “forgiven” Polanski in the past but many people are still appalled by the details of the crime. “Rosemary’s Baby” director Polanski plied an aspiring 13 year old with champagne and quaaludes and raped her at Jack Nicholson’s house. Granted, this happens in Hollywood all too often, but she was THIRTEEN. Polanski was indicted on 6 felony counts and ended up serving only 42 days in prison for “psychiatric observation.” When he was released, he feared further punishment and fled back to France. What was WRONG with the legal system in those days? Who got paid off for all this leniency? Hopefully Samantha and her lawyer, who’s collaborating with her, will point the finger of guilt where it belongs.

ROMAN POLANSKI: ARE THERE MORE UNDERAGE SEX VICTIMS OUT THERE?

Okay, the first horse is out of the barn as far as sexual predator Roman Polanski is concerned. Actress Charlotte Lewis has accused of Polanski of taking sexual advantage of her when she was sixteen and auditioning for a movie role. She claims that at the time, Polanski bragged to her “I sleep with every actress I work with.” Quite plausible, because taking advantage of very young actresses was a common – and accepted -practice in a certain circle of successful Hollywood men in the self-indulgent 70’s and 80’s. (You KNOW who you are.) Of course it still happens, but nowadays drugs are more prudently handed out, and ID’s are more often observed. Since Charlotte has confessed her underage affair with Roman – how about Nastassja Kinski, who was rumored to be 15 when Roman seduced her? There must be DOZENS of former starlets in Europe ready to tell all! Let the floodgates open!

ROMAN POLANSKI: TIME TO FACE THE MUSIC

polanski460[1]“Rosemary’s Baby” as much as anyone, but that doesn’t affect our judgment of director Roman Polanski’s rape of a 13 year old girl. Reading the details of the revolting crime simply make it impossible to excuse – even if more than thirty years have passed. The fact that some of his Hollywood friends would choose to support Polanski’s actions is almost as shocking as the illegal act itself. Forgive and forget? Should we forgive Phillip Garrido also because Jaycee didn’t actually “complain” about being kidnapped – and it happened 18 years ago! Maybe if Garrido were a successful Hollywood director, his friends would have petitioned for his freedom too! That same sense of entitlement allowed the Catholic church to get away with abusing children for many years.
