BRAD DIDN’T BUY A BACHELOR PAD, HE ENLARGED HIS FAMILY COMPOUND

ANOTHER reason to doubt those Brad and Angelina splitting up stories. The UK’s Daily Mail has been trumpeting that Brad quietly bought a “bachelor pad” in LA where he can live in peace without Angelina and the kids. (As if they don’t already have ENOUGH houses!) The fact is, Brad bought another of the houses surrounding his compound in the Hollywood Hills that he has owned for years. He’s been buying up the neighbors’ homes one by one when they go up for sale and now has several private acres. The most recent addition is a run-down 1920’s bungalow in need of a lot of work. HARDLY a bachelor pad. We checked this information with our brilliant colleague at The Real Estalker and found him in total agreement.

We heard a rumor that “Step Up” costars Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan are getting married this weekend. It makes sense. They’ve been engaged since September and said they planned to marry “soon.” We hope it’s true. She’s a gem and he appreciates her – they make a great couple. Does anyone know anything about this?
UPDATE : We were right! Jenna and Channing got married in Malibu Saturday.

PATRICK SWAYZE IS STILL ALIVE AND KICKING

It's apparent that Patrick Swayze takes all those inaccurate and exaggerated media reports about his declining health to heart, and that’s painful to imagine. Early last year when The Enquirer reported he had “weeks to live,” Patrick went out of his way to prove them wrong. Yesterday a Florida radio station (both stations under suspicion, deny it) started the rumor that Patrick had died and it was picked up on Twitter. Even Wikipedia reportedly amended Patrick’s page temporarily. Swayze was so incensed he released this recent photo with his wife, indicating he is not bedridden, as assumed. It’s a dilemma – ill celebrities DO deserve some privacy, but they ARE famous, and fans and gossip readers continue to devour photos and information about them.

Usher, whose shotgun marriage baffled us from the start, seems to want OUT of the commitment with a minimum of bad publicity. He and his stylist-turned-wife Tameka, have been living separately, although she announced she is expecting their second child. (Tameka has three children from previous relationships.) According to journalist Jawn Murray, Usher doesn’t want to officially split until after the baby is born, because he doesn’t want to be perceived as a cad, dumping a pregnant wife. Rumors are spinning that Usher is cheating with another pop singer but Murray suspects that Tameka is behind the stories and isn’t convinced they are true. Time will tell.

We’re betting that Gerard Butler kind of enjoyed that sudden notoriety he achieved when the rumor surfaced that he was fooling around with Jennifer Aniston. Apparently they met for two minutes at the Toronto Film Festival and UK papers blew it up into a big “romance.” Throughout the speculation, Gerard was rather silent, but recently as he was leaving Crown Bar after a night of boozy partying he regretfully admitted “I am not dating that woman.”
