This is a front yard in Hollywood, California. There’s something very unsettling about this hanging effigy of Sarah Palin. It smacks of sexism and worse. John McCain is featured in flames at the top of the house. What kind of people occupy this home? More important, what has this woman done to deserve such incredible hatred? So WHAT if we don’t agree with her! Can’t we voters support our own candidates without belittling others? This effigy is an insult to decent Obama supporters everywhere. MUST we turn into a nation of fanatical haters? It’s just another election.

The fact that publicity starved TV couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are endorsing the McCain- Palin ticket (and promoting themselves) is enough to provide Obama a landslide victory. THAT’S how much this pair seems to be disliked. Their fake photo sessions and fake smiles are not winning many fans. Some insiders are calling them has-beens. Note the six-pack, shotgun, and Palin T shirts, and try not to gag.

We’ve never heard rants like this woman gets and doubt if it could happen to a man. Ever since Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin’s name was announced as John McCain’s running mate, we sense a deliriously heightened air of political excitement and the feeling that democrats are scrambling to respond to this news carefully. It is HUGELY gratifying to finally have a female candidate, but we do wish she were more moderate – especially socially. Whether she’s the perfect candidate or not, she IS a woman and she represents a long overdue step toward “equality” that American women have been denied for so long. Don’t underestimate this political maneuver- it is a giant step for womankind.
