Shannen Doherty showed up for the Radar magazine party (funeral actually- the irreverant mag is kaput again) at the brand-new New York club Citrine this week. It’s rumored that she is dating the co-owner and entrepreneur David Rodolitz, and this photo does nothing to dispel the rumor. Shannen looks uncharacteristically coy. She seems to be making a bit of a comeback this year.
UPDATE: Shannon’s boyfriend has been misidentified. This is not David Rodolitz. Does anyone know who this boyfriend is?
FURTHER UPDATE: Shannen’s companion in the photo has been identified as Tim Bitici, a friend of hers and fashion editor for an Italian magazine.

Shannen Doherty IS a complicated person. In her Radar magazine interview she admitted to being a germaphobe – “but not on the Howard Hughes freak level.” And she’s very fussy about boyfriends and hygiene. If she meets a hot guy she looks at their nails and asks “Do you shower in the morning or at night?” She has surmised that most guys shower in the morning. Not good. The idea of them going to sleep with all the dirt they’ve accumulated all day turns her OFF. She likes ‘em squeaky clean. Hey, she’s got a point there.

BEVERLY HILLS 90210: THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

There’s been an INORDINATE amount of talk about who’s being brought back from the original cast in the CW’s updated version of Beverly Hills, 90210. Jenny Garth, Ian Ziering, and Tori Spelling have all agreed to come back but the big fat question remains: What about the most identifiable and memorable actor on the show? Shannen “Brenda” Doherty, of course! Her bad-girl exploits (tame compared to the bad girls of today) contributed enormously to making the high school drama a hit. But as Tori Spelling wrote in her book, the rest of the cast grew intolerant of Shannen’s lateness and attitude, and they pushed Aaron Spelling to fire her. Her departure was pretty much the kiss of death for the series. Shannen WOULD get a lot of people tuning in to the new 90210, but her name never comes up! How come?
