Amazing things happen in LA. Former “Details” editor Annie Flanders, event planner Bryan Rabin, and designer Michael Schmidt, hosted a launch for the Stephen Sprouse book at the Chateau Marmont and it drew an eclectic fashiony crowd. Courtney Love behaved herself and Tatum O’Neal looked relaxed and happy. Where else but LA can you see Dita Von Teese and 50’s B movie queen Mamie Van Doren in the same photo? Dita’s a good sport, Mamie looks hot, and the girl in the green dress is burlesque dancer Ava Garter.

Debbie Harry at the Stephen Sprouse tribute in New York and she looks better than she has in Years! Debbie and Sprouse made each other famous because she was his muse and she always wore his clothes back in the glorious punk days when everybody hung out at Max’s Kansas City. After he died she was never quite as adept at dressing herself, but she turned up at the party looking fine.

You might think this is a funny outfit, but in fact, Marc Jacobs is such a successful designer that he can wear ANYTHING he likes and get away with it. Lately he’s been partial to kilts and now he’s added colorful Stephen Sprouse inspired tights. It all works because he wore this outfit to the Louis Vuitton tribute to the late Sprouse in New York.
