MADONNA AND GUY RITCHIE: WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON?

Madonna has laid out the ground rules of her divorce and they include all the friends that she and Guy Ritchie share. Or DID share. According to the NY Post, Madonna has announced to all their shared friends that they must CHOOSE sides. They cannot continue to be friends with both parties. Among those caught in the middle of the split are Sting and his wife Trudie Styler – who introduced the Ritchies. Also, Sacha Baron Cohen and his wife Isla will have to pick a side. Madonna made this rule because she doesn’t want to share custody, or some other kind of information with a friend, and have it get back to Guy. It’ll be interesting to see who walks away with which friends.

Dust off your motorcycle jackets, the eighties are BACK! We just got word from our Canadian spy that it’s official: Sting is back together with The Police for a concert tour. So far there are eighty dates planned in North America and the UK. Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland have been wanting this to happen for awhile, but they thought Sting would never agree. Maybe the fact that it’s the 30th anniversary of their first hit Roxanne, softened up Sting. Or maybe he was impressed with the success of The Rolling Stones and U2 tours. Whatever -this will be the first time the band has played in concert since 1984.

Our friend that works on the Zumanity show in Las Vegas described two distinctly different celebrity visits for us. He said that Sting was the perfect audience member – he was very responsive – laughing and hollering and really enjoying the show out loud. The oddest visitor was Eddie Murphy. Eddie reserved a whole row for himself and a couple of friends. He wore sunglasses and a hat and sat through the entire erotic show with his arms crossed and he never moved. “He looked like a wax dummy!” said our source. “With those glasses, he could have been asleep the whole time!”

Bad Neighbor

It’s Sting’s birthday today, but you can bet he still won’t invite Diana Ross to any parties. She upset her Malibu Colony neighbors when she got the gate guard fired because the guy was a big fan and had the nerve to ask her for an autograph. The neighbors, including Heather Locklear, Pam Anderson, Mel Gibson, and Sting, were not happy because they really liked the fellow, who had worked there a long time. Miss Ross is not particularly sociable with the people living near her and keeps to herself. Sting was especially outraged and he worked to get the guard rehired.
