Who would have guessed that “Dancing With The Stars” partners Shannon Elizabeth,35, and Derek Hough, 24, would still be together a year later? Certainly not In Touch magazine, which claimed the couple admitted their romance was faked to earn audience votes. In fact, Derek moved in with Shannon while they were competing and never left. Above, the playful pair shopped for household items in Target where they bought towels, closet fixtures and a welcome mat.

PAULA ABDUL'S TARGET MELTDOWN

We just heard a story about Paula Abdul that happened a couple of months ago but it’s still relevant. According to a witness. Paula was wearing a baseball cap and bouncing happily up and down the aisles at the Target store in Palm Springs. Suddenly she stopped dead, pulled out her cell phone, started shaking and crying, and dropped the phone. A concerned salesclerk watching her meltdown offered to help and took her to the manager’s office so she could sit down. Paula was sobbing and asked them to call her friend who was outside “in the car.” The friend came in and assured Paula “everything is going to be OK” and calmed her down. She had a glass of water and after fifteen minutes Paula started apologizing profusely for the “inconvenience ” and said she felt “foolish.” She waved goodbye and left the staffers wondering if she had an anxiety attack or WHAT.

Is Target in West Hollywood the new Ivy? Plenty of celebrities are regulars there and the paparazzi are catching on. Benji Madden and Joan Collins (with husband Percy Gibson) are two examples. You never know who might be pushing that shopping cart next to you in the electronics department. There was a time when you’d never catch a famous person in Target, but the store has achieved an element of chic acceptance.

Most of the cast of the new Beverly Hills 90210 have their fingers crossed that the show will survive, but Lori Loughlin, who plays Debbie Wilson, doesn’t need to sweat mortgage payments. The Full House star married well. Lori’s husband is hugely successful designer Mossimo Giannulli, who has a lucrative deal with Target. Here she is with her lookalike daughters Olivia and Isabella, picking up Chinese food at Beverly Glen while Mossimo waits in the car.

JANICE DICKINSON KICKS UP HER HEELS AT TARGET

Janice Dickinson can liven up ANY atmosphere – including shopping at Target. Recently she was spotted at the West Hollywood store with two male friends and you couldn’t miss her- her loud voice carried all over the place. She walked up to another shopper with a overloaded shopping cart and remarked “Gee, you bought a LOT of stuff !” He wisecracked “I have a lot of money!” She shot back “I have more money than YOU!” and pointed out her two friends tossing candles and pillows into HER cart. The jovial mood changed when Janice got a call from her son that made her very angry. She tore into him yelling and violently cursing “I told you NOT to do that!” Profanity filled the air and all eyes were upon her when she shouted “I’ll talk to you when I get home!” and slammed her phone shut.
