Tatum O’Neal took her son Sean out for dinner at Mr Chow on September 23 – his 22nd birthday. They had a good time but when they left in separate cars we were reminded that Tatum’s ex John McEnroe has had custody of their three kids since 1998. Fortunately, it appears that Tatum and Sean are still close.

It’s hard to imagine that Michael Jackson ever looked so young and innocent. This photo was taken at some long-forgotten event by Brad Elterman in 1979. Michael Jackson, 21, was on a “date” with Tatum O’Neal, who was 16 at the time. Michael had just released “Off The Wall” and his future seemed unlimited. Tatum had won an Oscar for “Paper Moon” and her career was already tapering off. She was reportedly disappointed that Michael just wanted to be “friends” and their relationship went nowhere. Is it a coincidence that drugs were destined to have a major effect on both their lives?

We were happy to see that Ryan O’Neal’s kids Tatum and Griffin validated all the claims we made about Ryan cashing in on Farrah’s death. We believed that all that whimpering Ryan did on TV was strictly to publicize HIMSELF, and make some money doing interviews. We always though he was a reprehensible person and father, and his damaged children agree. Newly blonde Tatum has admitted her father did not recognize her at Farrah’s funeral and tried to “pick her up.” Griffin told Larry King that he felt his father Ryan simply “tried to make money off Farrah’s death .” Griffin said “He stuck around to make sure he was in Farrah’s will.” (He WASN”T, Redmond got it all.) Now Griffin suspects that Ryan is sticking close to incarcerated Redmond “because he got all the money.”

Since her half brother Redmond AND her father Ryan have been arrested on drug charges, Tatum O’Neal must feel like the heat is off her for now. Certainly it will be more difficult for Ryan to deny the charges Tatum made in her tell-all book “A Paper Life.” If you recall Tatum claimed to be distraught over the death of her dog when she got caught attempting to buy crack recently and now we’re happy to see she’s got a new puppy.

Love, love, love, this classic photo by Brad Elterman! It’s around 1979 and Michael Jackson and Tatum O’Neal were “dating,” and they went to some kind of party together. Michael is wearing a Florida souvenir shirt with all the cities’ names on it and rhinestone palm trees. Tatum is around 16 and Michael’s around 21 in this photo. Michael claimed Tatum tried to seduce him and Tatum insists she did NOT. Who do you believe?
Incidentally, we hear that Debbie Rowe just did some sort of magazine interview that might clarify the genetic composition of Michael’s kids with her. Hard to believe, however, since her income is directly related to keeping her mouth zipped up.

This dog is the reason Tatum O’Neal gives for going crack shopping. Her 16 year old beloved Scottish Terrier Lena (shown above in 2006) was sick with cancer and Tatum and her daughter had to have their dog put down. Devastation over the loss drove Tatum to seek solace in the streets. Are we the only ones who completely BELIEVE this excuse? We feel for her. What could be more agonizing? Give Tatum a break.
